    Geez, people. It's a lousy $1.00.

I really can't believe how little this has been supported.

WGT. Any way we can just make donations? Personally, today,  I pulled down over 300 creds just watching vids etc. I wouldn't mind throwing some more to the cause.

    duffer19:

Questioning an act of kindness is a bit odd to me.

Since WGT can't really take credits from this down to their real life bank and deposit them - I think it best to trust that WGT is doing their part ......generously - thank you wgt -

People buy credits from WGT for 1$ per 100 credits, so it would only make sense to transfer to the charity using exactly the same exchange rate that people pay for credits, not for instance ~1/6th of this rate used in the Elite collection... Otherwise it would seem like trying to make money out of people's goodwill.

I definitely will donate to the Philippines, but I would like to find an appropriate channel for that. WGT may be such, if additional options and explanations are provided.

As I post WGT has approx' 8.37 million accounts, the tournament has 97 scores posted.

Well aware more may have signed up but not posted scores.... whilst elsewhere folks demand higher credit RG's and look to organise forum tournaments for thousands of credits a pop.

C'mon folks - get yer fingers oot!

One lousy dollar is all that's required to perhaps make a difference to the lives of those suffering  at the hands of this latest disaster.

WGT,  you really need to post more info regarding the tournament on the news page.

i'd have happily paid a $50 entrance fee.

maybe wgt could make this an unlimited tourney but entrance gets paid at every try.

Due to Legal Reasons we cant use any charities names without their permission.  This is not always easy to get, especially at a time like this.  Every penny of what is taken in on this tournament is going to an appropriate and reputable charity.

I signed up and played this morning.

Then I gave the weekly unlimited 9 on Merion another shot.  Got my best front nine on Merion a -8 including birdies on both #5 and #6!

    Coincidence or Good Karma?

Did VEM smile at me because I gave to this cause?

Give the Philippines Relief tournament a go and perhaps it will happen to you too?

On behalf of my countrymen, most importantly those who have been affected by the fury of Typhoon Yolanda, WE THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT, PRAYERS & SYMPATHY.  We in return Pray most fervently that nothing ever happens to any of you and your families.  Forever, you will remain in our hearts and minds as mortals. God BLESS YOU and keep you safe always and forever.
