Ok I have hit an avg of  65.55  as master and can't get lower .. problem seems to be my putting .. I have upgraded twice on my putters .. No help , I putt just as well ( maybe better ) with the free WGT putter .. Even with my free putter I have gone from sinking 10 footers to missing 4 footers ..I do lots of practice rounds focused on just putting .. It takes me 5 or 6 putts ( same putts ) just to sink  what used to be a simple  5 footer. .Make no mistake here , I believe it's me and not the WGT that is the problem .. I have gone from 5 to 6 birds a round to maybe one bird per round because of missing easy putts ... It is really getting to me .. Any Ideas ?    Thanks ... :)

The game may have been tweaked to become more difficult - or it's just spooky rumour around.

OTOH, it's practice. You may investigate g0ld's putting formula (search for it) to get a sophisticated and extensive calculus, but to me, putting includes a lot of instinct and feeling, even in this online game. Sometimes I hit a lot of holes (or get veeeery close), on another day it looks like blind putting.

Thus, get comfortable with one putter (a custom one, because the Starter eventually lacks precision and balance on long putts), elaborate how to come close to the holes in approach putts (length, break evaluation) and practice - you'll be drowning more and more of them.

I can't do it without a distance table and a paper pal - that's a ruler glued to my monitor, but my RL putting has improved by WGT practice.

i'd suggest using the mulligans to practice putting, it's a great tool.

I used a mobile phone screen protector in the early days, peeled on and peeled off whenever i wasn't playing...made the required marks on it...

buy the cheapeast putter pal, then make your own ruler up...

As Alosso said, some days, you feel invincible and hole everything, other days (and these are the days that stick in your mind) you'll lip putts that are normally your bread and butter, those10-15 footers that always seemed to have a chance to drop end up short/long/wide and nowhere near dropping.

I used to play a lot of poker, was my living for a few years, dingy, smoky totally uninviting basements/corners of casinos, none of these plush poker rooms and sitting in the comfort of your own home with your feet up multi tabling and becoming rich.  just before the boom really took off and the only poker you'd ever see on TV was the early versions of late night poker on ch4.  I can remember many, many MANY beats, losing to one or two outers, in minute detail, I hardly remember any of the really big pots, the ones where i got lucky and won pots i shouldn't have.  It's just human nature to remember the sh1t vividly!

I was going to suggest upgrading your putter but a quick peek and i see you have a very good putter.  just spend some time practicing mate, it'll come good :)

fwiw, i had the odyssey putter and didn't think i'd ever change but like you,  a while back, i just seemed to be missing far too many putts, it 'felt' like WGT flipped a switch on me (purely an analogy, WGT would never do such a dastardly deed)  and i decided to buy the ghost spider lvl 60 odd putter as a lot of players in my CC seemed to be having quite the success.

It may purely be coincidental or a psychological thing but it felt like my putts held a better line, i started dropping more putts and my confidence sky rocketed!

I love the ghost spider, i still have the Odyssey( and method and rossa for that matter) in my bag and perhaps in a few months, when i feel i'm in a slump, i'll pull the Odyssey out once again and it'll be the saviour that the taylormade feels like now.

strange beasts us humans, psychological and/or coincidental occurrences can have a profound effect on our mental state and confidence :)

Sorry mate, went right off at a tangent there reminiscing about all those shitty bad beats...lol  hang in there, put a bit of work in and you'll be shaving those shots off your averaqge in no time :)

that's probably the best bit of advice you'll read....totally ignore everything i wrote.... this is what i actually meant to say but am feeling it today and navigating the land of forums, i just wanted to relive that damn 9 of diamonds spiking on the river and losing what was then a fortune (to me)

Thanks Guys .. I have gone back to the starter putter , don't know why but I do much better with it.. I do use  mulligans to practice putting and do very well , but in real play I just fall apart ..  I tried 3 different putters and I did give them a few weeks each with no luck ..But will say I think something has changed on WGT , It may be a small change  but a change none the less ..The Guys i'm playing with have notice a change also .. Just things I have noticed the last few weeks like he wind having no effect on some of my shots ..  I guess i'll be stuck at Master , it's ok I guess, I'll just live with it  ..  Thanks for the info guys ... :)

Just play 9 with my starter putter  4 under ..Wow I haven't done that in a while ..
