    CharlemagneRH:
Minimal levels of detection are not difficult at all to program, seeing as how you can find code for that available free on the web.

Could you help WGT by posting a link to that code please?..............

    ....rim shot.

(I know, I know, cheap shot.  Sometimes I can't help myself. LOL)

Code that will run tasklist.exe and store the results (i.e. return the results back to WGT) is freely available on the web.  That's pretty much all they'd need to catch most cheaters.

That said, I think you should get a warning or something like that because I know when I first started, I used to go back and forth between an MMORPG and WGT, and I'd have open an MMO tradeskill bot program like half the time that probably would've gotten me in trouble (eventually.)

Well put, borntobesting.I've been playing this online golf game a few months now and if I feel i'm losing touch with the rest I'll go out and shoot a few practice rounds, tighten things up a bit. These idiots who think that cheating is the easier way of getting to the front hasn't learnt the rules of life, you start at the bottom and work hard to eventually get to the top,it defeats the object of the game and loses it's reality if you cheat all the time. And you feel more satisfied with yourself getting to the top of the pile by bettering yourself with every round completion.I HATE CHEATS!!!!!!,get a life and go and play Frogger on a motorway.

This is the way WE Americans choose for our economy system. Get over it that's just the way it is. (i personally don't condon).......sandbaggers/cheaters police squad, I nominate Snaike as judge and Andy as executioner. Can I have a second? Just one ole mans comment. Yes we as "purist do have a situation (cheaters) that's is increasingly getting out of hand. HELP MR. WIZARD

Detecting multiple accounts is one of the easiest things in the world. Each user's IP address is registers. So 2 or more users with the same IP address....there you go. Sure you can use proxy servers and all that but it just makes it harder and most of those with multiple accounts are not paying for a proxy server. Most people ban IP addresses since this is the easiest thing to do. Getting your IP address changed can be done but its not that easy, you have to call your internet provider, request a new IP and about 3-5 days later you will get a new address. You call them more than 3 or more times they will eventually refuse. Thanks go out to my brother who works for AT&T, he just told be about this.

Hmmmm, what about two people from the same house playing on WGT?   There is a hole in your theory.

    Cheers

LOL OPD!  But as one ol' man to another, I'd rather have haji "The hangin' judge" 97071 as judge than Snaike "its not a big issue".  I'll get more business that way.  ;>)

LOL-That guy was the best! (My 20 yr old son is a junior on his way to a Phd in astro physics because of that guy.)

I think the cheating discussion could rage for a long time and nothing would change. Could it be that maybe it's time for a pay-to-play level that would require specific proof of an ID? Yes, it would preclude some for an assortment of reasons but nothing at WGT would have to change. Just add a tier or section for those that would be willing to pony up with the absolute and 100% positive assurance that cheating is a non issue.

    Just an idea.
