I don't think it's just an impression that cheating is widespread. Not when you look at some of the scores in especially the Hack and Amateur tiers. Like Haji says, there is just no way anybody new to this site can shoot (well) under par, let alone get close to 30 or the low 60s. It takes practice, and lots of it. People who do this have cleared played before, and are creating new accounts to get money and win trophies from the lower tiers. It's pretty frustrating to never be able to compete, because you know there are heaps of multiaccounters that rip up the tournaments. Add in sandbagging and it's a no-win situation for us genuine new players.

I suspect that the bottom line is what really matters, and as long as these cheaters keep buying clubs WGT, will turn a blind eye. It's a terrible shame. I really hope they plan to do something about this with the new tiers, but to be honest, what we have heard thus far doesn't indicate it.

Im  fed up with this also  wtg  could always check there ISP  for  multi accounts, but too be honest i  dont think there Bothered as  long as people are spending  Money  in here.

Ifor one wont spend anything until  the games  100%  ,meter fixed, errors ,etc  and a Proper version of this not Beta.

i  dont know why  people spend  money on something thats faulty.  you  cant do that in a shop. Trades n  Standards  would get involved.  but nothings  done here.Ogh well like i say as long as the  Mugs spend Money  nothing will change m8.

Question for all you wizards on IP addresses. I live in a community of about 100 houses, there are 10 friends that I can take my laptop, log into w/their IP and play. So how could anyone (WGT/or) be able to locate me or my user name if I forged? "I'm not stupid" but pretty much all I know about PCs,IPs,etc is how to log in and "ding". Is this a legitimate question?

Some just do it for fun and look at all costs as "entertainment"

Well put, borntobesting.I've been playing this online golf game a few months now and if I feel i'm losing touch with the rest I'll go out and shoot a few practice rounds, tighten things up a bit. These idiots who think that cheating is the easier way of getting to the front hasn't learnt the rules of life, you start at the bottom and work hard to eventually get to the top,it defeats the object of the game and loses it's reality if you cheat all the time. And you feel more satisfied with yourself getting to the top of the pile by bettering yourself with every round completion.I HATE CHEATS!!!!!!,get a life and go and play Frogger on a motorway.

    really

sandbagging is when players play single player rounds and shoot high scores on rated rounds so their average score stays high, then when they play in the free tourneys or the ready go tournaments they will shoot 10 or more strokes better than their handicaps, they will do that in the tourneys for a couple of rounds and then go back to the single player site and shoot a few high scores to keep their average up.

I like  this game, I have fun playing this game, I will play this game later today and tomorrow as well. If you whine and complain about this game, then don't play the game.

I heard a saying a long time ago, if your not cheating your not trying, if you have played more than 10 rounds of this game you should be able to tell is something funny is going on, report them and continue playing this game.

I once played a Hack that hit 5 birdies in a row, I wrote down the screen name, finished off the game and reported this person (coulda been a golf bot) to WGT. I dont know or dont care if anything happened to that person, but I like this game, I will play this game later, tomorrow, and the next day.

It is just a GAME, if ya want to spend money, do. If you don't DON'T. I enjoy out driving people with my G15, and i chose to upgrade my virtual equiptment  Just keep your whining to yourself. I am sure you can pick up some cheese at the corner market.

Keep it in the game produced short stuff.
