    riskplayer:
Some people think they should birdie every hole on the course.

Yup, I am with Riskplayer here. Yes there is some variation but looking at the OP's scoring it certainly does not reflect "guesswork".

If anything this game has become too easy with the clubs available, players work out the formula and al  you need to do is then hit the ding (this is my problem lol). Then players cry foul about variation or if they screw up (never our fault is it?).

I  look  at the odd shot that is a genuine WTF shot like I would in the real game - sh*t happens - just move on, it is history.

Personally I do not think it is easy, yes i have worked out the formulas, but they often do not work very well. 1 hole to next they can go off by 10 yards. Very frustrating if you happen to be competitive and execute the shot to see such a poor result, wouldn't be so bad if there was some assurance that it was distributed fairly. Hard to tell with so many perfect scores being posted. I've been the victim of the perfect scores, but they are always the result of miraculous recovery's.

Nice clean full rounds are very rare for me, no matter how well I'm executing the shots or not, I'm never left scratching my head if i missed the shot, and i miss plenty.

"Then players cry foul about variation or if they screw up (never our fault is it?)." Well I'm not a subscriber to that theory, doesn't make a ton of sense that someone would miss the shot and complain about a poor result, makes more sense to me that some people would like it to be the individuals fault, seems like a popular sport to beat down someone with any complaint.

Personally I believe it completely depends on the type of player you are whether or not you like the new and improved version of this game.

I would be first to subscribe to a 10 yard variation on all shots and clubs, I could move back to starter balls for that, but I play fairly competitive, I also feel that I purchased a little more precision then that, and it would somehow suck if everyone in the game did not experience the same, but I just learned that in ready goes, not only do we not get the same winds, the same deviation, but we don't get the same pin positions either????.WTF is that all about.

I can see the OP's point, I don't much care about the MA or the sandbagger as it does not affect me particularly, what has me most concerned is the changes in the way my game is now playing, but every tournament i enter there are still multiple perfect scores to compete with.

I never much cared about people using various different programs, versions of flash etc to play the game as I was always able to compete if I played my best, now it does not seem to matter if I play my best or not, to many other factors are part of the game and the cheaters are getting harder and harder to beat.

Where is that beating dead horse emoticon ? Come on lets be real. Those of us who have been online gaming know for a fact that there will always be cheats. WGT gives us plenty of different playing options so choose one that best fits your needs. Are you really going to let cheats ruin your fun of this game ? If you do its your own fault. Join a fair CC and call it a day.

    Good point.

I guess my main beef would be the changes in the way my game is playing more than anything, I feel i would stand a chance against them if not for the changes, but i can move on if I have to.

If they were still around, tibbets, AvatarLee, ncviz, Iconian(our own wgticon), etc. would/could tell you that the game cannot be perfected or controlled by anyone. Those that get lost in the pursuit of perfection will end up in a straight waist-coat or simply quit, because the focus moves to the wrong place...the right place is simply to enjoy the game.

I don't play RG's, but this is easy to prove.  Go set up ranked/practice stroke play on any of the courses that have different pin locations.  Play that round over and over and see that all games will not have same location for all holes.  Same thing happens with the winds in these games, all don't play the same wind strength and/or direction.

I know they'll change in practice and ranked rounds, but never thought they did in a tourney.

I have no facts that they indeed do change in RG's.  But if they can change in practice/ranked why not in RG's also.  They only way to know for sure would be to have all who played, chart the course.  And I know, that would never stay up as a post in the forum.

When I was a member of a CC I played some unlimited stroke tourneys and the pin positions never change, even if I posted 10 scores or restarted 30 times. So I'm pretty sure they're the same for everyone in RG's as well.

Because a RG tourney is supposed to be a level playing field.  Everyone in the same tier gets the same tees and pin locations.

I think there may be some mix up here, I seriously doubt WGT gives different players different pin locations if they're the same tier.
