I've been reading a thread in which the subject of 'real' and 'fake' averages came up, i.e. your real average vs your average once you reach saturation level, and this got me to thinking, (it's okay the Dr says I should make a full recovery eventually) .

I, like many, track all my rounds (or I have since making legend) with a simple spreadsheet, so I can track my average, and I do so to 4 decimal places, once I reach saturation I will post my 'real' average on my profile.

Couldn't WGT include this in our stats package? Perhaps your 'official average', 'career average', 'tier average' and 'last 10 rounds average'. I'm sure it would aid those who play MP, AS etc and would also be interesting information for the community in general.

    Nice thought!

Now you only need to motivate WGT - what would be their profit from these numbers?

I could promise to buy Icon a box of Hersheys, or a whole Death by Chocolate Gateaux?

I don't put much stock in averages, since they're easily manipulated.  Guys who have an aveage in the 50s...yeah, you can't tell me that they birdie 85+% of their holes.

You better hold back - imagine the double and triple average protecting quittings then ;)
