I'd like to suggest that the site maintenance be done at different times occasionally, other than the exact 3 hours of the day that I have available to play. I spend quite a bit of money on here, and would really appreciate it if there wasn't at least one day a week when I can't even get a round in, while others never have any interruption. Thanks.

It suits their engineers. They would never please everyone whatever they did.

I think the OP raises a fair point though.  Sure it might be nice for WGT's Computer Basics 101 dropouts but surely they work more than a 3 hour day and could do maintenance on Icon's back end at some other time in their working day?

They could alternate between the usual time and 4 hours later or earlier.  Obviously it's not going to please everyone but at least it wouldn't pizz off the same people every time.

The answer is simply move to a different time Zone. If the game rules your life sad sad you need help.

I assume those 3 hours are between working, sleeping and having a real life.  It seems to me his life isn't being ruled by this game, far from it.  It's just the time set aside for it is also when they shut down to clean their arses do backend maintenance.

As well as a lot of other players , who spend money here also . You have players from all over the world , who have to also deal with the maintenance shut downs too . Yet they dont complain . It would seem that you need to readjust your schedule ,  in order to play around these shut downs, if the game means that much to you. As for the money that you spend , thats your choice , because you dont have too . You do have options.

I've been wondering about Peak busy hour at WGT for a while and decided to do some research on internet traffic patterns just to see how many players are affected by the WGT maintenance interval.  I found this article about European traffic patterns vs North Americans.

I added info to their graph to make it more relevant to WGT.

I figure North America plus Europe is roughly 75% or thereabouts of WGTs total traffic.  Based on that WGT has chosen the time of their shutdown in order to minimize the impact on players.  11pm to 2am Pacific time is the lowest traffic period on WGT.

At the other end, it appears 8am to 3pm Pacific time is probably the highest traffic on WGT.
