I am totally confused by all of these mathematics, as I smoked dope during those years in high school lol...but i have always used the distance x wind divided by .005 and i am usually dang close on dinged shots...my avg is 12 ft to the pin so i cant be way off...Apex and Kat, its just confusing.
That's why I wrote an approach calculator ... you can't "feel" the wind ... just apply either a guess or a calculation to combat it. With the calculator, all I do is enter the yardage, elevation wind speed and direction, then click "Calculate" ... it's all right there.
No muss, no fuss and no thinking involved! I let my computer do the calculations for me.
