    Hello,

i fell in love with the golf game on wgt.com about an year ago. Before i was playing a lot of poker for real money but i was sometimes exhausted because of the luck factor. But online golf has little to no luck involved. I wondered, why there are no real money tournaments , stroke- or matchplays offered on wgt.com. In my opinion this would easy to managed since skill games are legal in us and europe . There would be still the free play version of wgt but also a real game version. There are several points to think about :

1.How should the real money work?

The real money games should be devided like in poker in cashgame(stroke or matchplay between players ) and tournaments (like the tournaments which you can play on wgt)

    2. How can players make money ?

Every player , who enters tournament or stroke-/matchplay plays with his own money against other players money (like in poker). The money is placed in an pricepool. The best skilled player wins percentagewise the most.Winner takes all formats can also been introduced.

    3. How do wgt.com can make money out of that?

Every match - or strokeplay requieres a fee from the players entring the play. This should be around 5-10% of the buy in every player does to play the game.

    4. Will only a few players with the most skill win all the money?

    No!

First : Like in poker you can choose your buy in from low to high.

Second : Players with the same rank are only allowed to play against players of their rank.So for example you are amateur you can only play tournaments or stroke/matchplays against amateurs until you get a higher rank.

Third: Every level can choose every BuyIn. Not every player with the rank of master wants to play Buy Ins for 50$ per game and more.

Fourt: There should also be qualifiers to tournaments with high buy in.Also freerolls where you can win for example equip stuff.

    5. Multiplaying

This is more a question of is it possible to play more than one stroke/matchplay or tournament. I dont think it should be a problem for the players but more for the programmers of wgt.com.

    5.Bonus Programms

Like in poker, players playing more than others can get bonuses like playing for free in tournaments or getting new equp stuff.

    6. New ideas for competition

I think many players want to play different games and they should be as short as possible. I like for example the putting challanges. I would like to see the oportunity to make stroke play out of this. Every player beginns at the same point on the green and this player who need the fewest putts over a course wins the money.

    7.What about connection problems

This is problem that many players hate the most. If the problem is because of the players connection, than its not problem of wgt.com . Else , wgt.com has to ensure that the play continues after the problem has been fixed or the money of the players has to be given back.

That are some points i was thinking of but of course there is a lot more that can be discussed.I hope i am not the only player who is interested in real money playing. By the way i see people from all countries so in my opinion its a game that is liked all around the world and there should be a lot of potential.

PS: one last statement: People in US who played for a living poker before Black Friday could be interested could be potentially new players. But i am not really sure about the laws of the US DOJ for online skill games. Maybe some US citizens can tell me about this.

    Thanks for reading :-)

    Not going to happen.

    1. Mutli-accounters heaven. Tour Legends with a hack account (or 5).

    2. Cheat programmes.

    3. Legal issues. (Fraud, theft to name but two).

You CAN play for real money if you want...

Know and trust the ppl you are playing with and the possibilities are endless...

If everyone has a pay pal or equivalent account then you can have a 'side bet' on ANYTHING....

EG:-  " $5 you don't sink this putt ".."$40 I score better on this 9" If they do or don't then either send or receive the coin..etc etc etc

    LOL...  Andy.

I got a good feeling that the OP doesn't quite understand the way this site works at all.

Firstly this is not skilled gaming...lol.

Secondly the OP is a Pro with all starter gear.

Thirdly..... and lastly....I don't think the OP knows anything of the Multis that were legends in his tier.

Maybe he should play a few ready go in his tier to see whats up....lol.

One taste of that and i promise he will forget about playing for money.

But gambling (which you propose) is only limited to a few, 3 maybe?-states in the US

Online gambling Mike is totally different subject.

My State gambling is totally legal, and we have many Casinos all over the State.

But..... online gambling is against the law. Before gift cards were removed in my State could not play ready go.

As long as they keep everything in house its not considered gambling. Because you actually win nothing...lol.

Only considered gambling when you cash out. Hmm.. no cashing out here...lol.

We've got (here in Ca., assume other places as well) Indian casinos...but that doesn't meen it's legal to gamble in Ca, i/e like Nevada.

What was the reason the feds shut down the poker sites in the US?

Have not a clue Mike about the poker sites. I'm not much up on all that.

But as you well know here in Louisiana gambling has been legal for longer than me.

Downtown New Orleans might as well be Nevada...lol.  Yet.... online gambling in this State is a no no.

I think might be because of all the fraud that take place on the internet.

Until recently all online gambling was considered illegal in the U.S  , just in the last week or so laws in  new jersey  and Nevada have come into effect allowing us to once again hit the virtual felt .  :)
