Why dont play WGT Golf for real money??

  If someone I play on here is wearing a short skirt, has a drop dead profile pic, been here for one month and has 1500 friends, the best equipment for their level (and has not spent a dime) and plays like a tour legend, then they must be real!

  Remember this is a game of skill (according to WGT) so when we all step up on the tee all things are equal (lets forget about wind direction and manipulation - they are only minor points that would never alter the outcome). 

  This fraud business is really over-rated, it really only exists in the minds of a few. For example today I have won 2 million euros in the lottery and to top it off the Russian Bride I ordered over the net arrived - ok she was 20 years older than I thought, 200 pounds heavier and looked more like the back end of a horse, but as she said, it did take a while to swim here and the  steroids bulked her up a bit.

  No fraud at all, we live in a perfect world.

  LOL.....funny man.

  I will say this... gift cards were removed for legal issues from what i was told.

  Also this game could have a couple of issues as we speak... never know..lol.

  But.... the way this game is setup it will never be skilled gaming. Very far from it really.

  I think one might find odds better at the roulette table.

  ;)

  Edit:  Although i just fired off a 26 in the RSG's ready go...hmm....never know might be my turn...lol.

  LOL Gerald, pleased you saw the funny side - I half expected the politically correct brigade to arrive :)

  I agree 100% re gift cards - by removing them negated any risk of breaking laws and mitigates their risk.

  Slightly disagree, some skill is required then add a little luck and hope it is your turn to reap the rewards, like you said the odds are stacked against you but at least the roulette table will pay out a better return if your number comes in. The old scenario - strong headwind for a par 5, strong tailwind par 3............sorry, better luck next time........

  Just play for balls, then you get 100% of the prize with no rake off.

  LMAO - OH yes you will - it is OB - but only if it is a new ball teed up. old balls have an aversion to OB or water even if you miss the ding by a mile. On the other hand a new ball finds trouble on a dinged shot. I think I will add that to my "mysteries of life" list!

  My State gambling is totally legal, and we have many Casinos all over the State.

  We've got (here in Ca., assume other places as well) Indian casinos...but that doesn't meen it's legal to gamble in Ca, i/e like Nevada.

   

  What was the reason the feds shut down the poker sites in the US?

   

  official reason criminals and terrorist groups could use them for money laundering.

   

  real reason all the poker site companies were based in tax havens in the carribean so uncle sam wasnt getting his cut

  But here is the clue -- wgt must prove that their game is not gambling. I think their are some world wide agencies which can take the coding of the game and simulate if this game is gamble which i think is not the case. Gambling games are only when the outcome of the game has nothing to do with the skill of the player. For example Chess has a luck factor of 0 and roulette has a factor of 10. Everything between is considered game of skill and luck combined. I dont know the law but in Germany we have a cardgame very similar to bridge. This game is considered not gambling although you never know who gets what cards. But during playing its possible for a good player to analysize what cards his opponents have and play accordingly against them. Thats why players can make a living out of the game because its not illegal. Poker is not proven yet.

  Didn't realise it was so hard to gamble in the States. Here in the UK i can gamble in my local burger bar or social club on a slot machine/fruit machine.

  I won £1000 in my local social club playing fruit machines and i only popped in for a pint on my way home from work.

  2 machines, £500 jackpots, total of £4 staked, result!!! I stayed and had a few more pints after that :-)

  That's like Nevada...just about any place you walk into has a slot machine in it.

   

  In California, the only places that allow gambling are Indian Reservation casinos - not all are actually on a reservation-but must be owned and run by some tribe.

   

  We also have Card Rooms scattered about, but I don't know the in's and outs of them...at one time only Low Ball was allowed, but since the WPT became popular, I think allowances have been made for different games.

   

  Note to self, ...if I ever get to the UK..hang closely to D's coat tails;)
