Icon , Shoe ???

  with the holiday season upon us and the 12 days of Christmas ,is there a way to tweak the moderation settings ? i feel a lot of the beginners shy away from the forums due to the fact ya pretty much need 20 posts and a message to ya y'all before moderation is lifted ... i am planning for my gifts to be for those  less fortunate in the lower levels and the way its set up now may take a day or two to sort through moderated to pick the ones i feel most deserving . i know you have the control to set perimeters and i have some good (i think) ideas  if interested ...

  Excellent idea, I don't see where it would hurt anything as if they start misbehavin' you could always give 'em the boot, or shoe, or a poke in the Icon.

  they do it to keep Spambots out and its working well as i don't think i've ever seen any Spam here . i think it would be as simple as one post and one ranked round played , as Spambots don't play golf ...  : )

  It would also be nice if WGT were to post something in the NEW,s that the 12 Days of Christmas give away was happining , This way for some of the players that dont look at the forums would know about it .

  Hi

  we do try to lift those early if we see users post regularly but it's not a small task. Some users may have 100+ country club posts but we won't know until we see it.

  I think the best way is to wait 24hours or so before awarding, this way you can check time stamps and see :)

  i.e if post is made but not approved til later on, it'll keep original time stamp.

  Thanks for bringing this topic up.

  I've been working with Shoe for the past few weeks on the "12 Days" event and in my first email to him I mentioned this very real problem that you mention above. Unfortunately, as Icon says, there's nothing they can do to speed things up.

  The problem with Icon's suggestion to wait 24 hours is that each "Day" will bleed into the next "Day". The goal is to have Santa post what he is giving away that day and to be in and out in 24 hours. That way the next CC (for this years event) can step up the next day and have that day all to themselves.

  I'm also working with Shoe on something Opy mentions. We're working on some ideas to help get the word out. Stay tuned for more.

  Oh, and along those lines, a very generous and creative player created a great ad for the event! Complete with music. If I can figure out how to post it here I will. You guys will love it!
