I too am very upset, as a Legend. I am lucky to have purchased the clubs i wanted or needed b4 these stupid A@# changes. They have totally screwed this game up. I really hope they fix it fast, if not they are gonna lose alot of players. By trying to make it "fair" they have fudged it up ROYALLY. These new green speeds  are beyond reasonable, what the heck was wrong with very fast?

    FIX THE PROBLEM!!!!

well said bill the fun has gone.

im supposed to be a legend but am not in the same league as some guys out here

.if that isnt bad enough what about the championship greens, they are not true to life and are unplayable downhill, you have to tickle the ball instead of hitting it.

come on WGT sort out and slow down the greens and put me back to a master.

if it aint broke dont fix it.

could not agree more Blackbeard! I am now getting bounced out of the server during games. The updates may have been needed but fix the damn basic game first

Do you mean that when you try to play other players your internet disconnects?I have been having that problem for a week now.

I also agree that the new tiers and levels have taken a lot of the fun away for me.

WGTAdmin/WGTAdmin2/Anyone else with this knowledge: Please enlighten all of us as to how you justify the Level requirements. Let us put aside the swingmeter complaints, green speeds [i am STILL upset about those], and other "enhancements" in the newest Beta release, focusing specifically on Levels.

As a recent posts mention, some have played 2,500 some-odd ranked rounds, some play 5 times a week, some have been bumped up in Tiers, and nobody can buy the clubs they want/need [unless they already had them of course.] ALL i have read is how upset people are because it's gonna take some hundreds, if not thousands, of rounds to have the "priviledge" of buying new stuff. I myself missed the chance to buy the G10's and R9 driver i have been lookin forward to gettin for weeks [by ONE day].

Other than making people buy hundreds of balls, how can you POSSIBLY justify these Level requirements? Everyone [including myself] seems to be furious.

If you are truly reading these posts and will make changes, then CHANGE the Level requirements to something reasonable so that those of us that still love playing [other than on Very Fast Greens - cough], and want to buy better stuff, can some day before they die [or quit]...

Discalimer: My use of italics/bold/underlining was for intonation/emphasis, not to scream

    MDOCTOR:

Maybe high levels and high averages will be an indicator of who your playing and will probally help with Quiters and Sandbaggers in the long run. However, since the change my average is study rising along with the my level meter because I was bumped to Master from Pro but still have to use Pro level clubs. I now appear to not be very good at all. I'm wondering how is this is a good indicator of how I play. On some holes I cant even reach the fairways. Certain Par 5s are deffinite Par 6s for me now and on lots of Par 4s my second shot seems to be a 3 Wood or 3 Iron. Even most Par 3s are all long irons now.  Its hardly possible to Par out this way let alone Birdie, and I have a good set of Pro Clubs. I feel sorry for the Pros who became Masters and didnt have good Pro equipment. You cant play this game from the Masters Tees with a 225yd Driver no matter how good you are. I dont mind moving back, but Tiger and Phill would not play the PGA Tour with the same clubs they used in high school so why are we now 20 to 30yds back using are old equipment. Its does not make any since. Hell, in the WGT Pro Shop, as a Master, I dont even quallify to purchase the Pro level clubs I already own.

Okay I'm done, I quit! I just tried to play Bethpage Black. Keyword TRIED! Hole #7 is now a 530yd Par 4 for me. I barley made it to the fairway with a Perfectly Hit Drive and a 16 mile wind going right to left and slightly against me. Actually I hit the rough and trickled onto the fairway. My second was a 3 wood and I still was not on the green, not even close. Thanks to a 3rd against a crazy 18 mile wind, and I dont mean a chip or pitch(a full wedge), and a 1 put from 18ft, I still managed to par. By the way Hole #9 was'nt much different, it also took three to reach purely on distances alone. Also, WGT, in case you did'nt know, not every course has 20+ mile swirlling winds and super fast greens, Saint Andrews and Pebble Beach maybe, but not all of them. The point is that it should not take three shots against heavy winds to reach a par 4 of glass. In the real world I would just go back up a set of tees based on how far I could drive the ball and the clubs in my bag. Not to make it easy, but competitive based on my ability. I guess thats why I'm not a PGA Tour Player. You know may be I should'nt be a Virtual World Masters player either. My game and the clubs in my bag just are'nt ready for it! By the way I quit another round(I HATE UNLEVEL PLAYING FIELDS). No I'm not a QUITER. CONDITIONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE JUST UNPLAYABLE! I'll be back when you guys figure it out.

It looks like the uproar might be getting heard. This was from WGTAdmin in another thread...

"Thanks for your feedback.  We are looking into the situation where a player was bumped into a higher tier in the release and had no chance to buy the equipment.

We are gathering data and evaluating modifications to the determination of tiers and levels. Please bear with us, your play and comments will help us tune the systems to be more fun."

By the looks of it being patient might be the way to go.  :-)

Can a Tour Pro tier player play in ANY tournaments???

Edit: I found ONE.. the rest says my Tier does not qualify me for any of the others, even though Amateur, Pro, and Master are all allowed

Wow level 57 to become eligible to get pro rapture driver or 3wood? I thought those were designed for us newbies? That effing crazy. It will take me a year and a half or so to get there. That really makes me sad.
