Ok on number 7 if you are in the mulch to the right just off the green. What shot do you hit? I was about 15 yards away  15-20 % lie  hit a full 15 yard flop(this one went backwards?) After that one I was 20 yards away  15-20% Hit a full shot 25 yards it went about 10.  Then hit a pitch 20 yards it went 10.  Hit a full chip 11 yards went 0 Then hit another 15 yard flop it went about 10 fnally on the green. The only shot I never tried was a punch. Could that of been the magic shot?

Sure is. Type "mulch" in the search box.  :-)

Thanks Jim.  I was crusing along playing ok at even par (missed a couple of easy birdie putts) and then I get to this hole and left at plus 5.  It was an 18 hole match but I have to admit I was too frustrated after 9 to continue so I did forfeit.

LOL. Can't say I never did the same thing. Moral of the exercise?-learn that punch shot. :-)

That is just a bad spot to be in. It is not the mulch as much as the proximity to the tree roots. The ball even with a punch will go no where because  it hits the roots of the tree before it gets high enough to clear them. You might be better off turning around and hitting the ball sideways or even backwards.
