Today (16th Dec 2013)I made level 93, on 27 Nov I'd just made level 91 when they announced the limited edition R1 at level 93, I decided to race to level 93 to try and get it. I failed as it was only available for 5 days but I carried on anyway, just in case it comes back, this is what I learned.

Started on 27th Nov having just made level 91, finished today 16th Dec, that's 220135XP in 19 days for an average of 11,586 per day and that could easily have been higher if I'd known then what I know now.

Most efficient way to level up is practice mode on the best of par 3 using any tee apart from the hardest and hit with less than 20% power and the ball won't leave the tee, that way WGT doesn't have to load a new image, do that for 15 times each hole for 135 hit the ball XP and a nice 635XP bonus for completing 9 holes for a total of 800XP. To make it even quicker I didn't aim (no point I wasn't going to hit it) and as I didn't use the hardest tee position I didn't have to change clubs (if you use hardest tees on one or two holes it will give you a driver and then 20% will move the ball, slowing things down), and as I wasn't going to hit the ball I didn't have to ding it, click as soon as you can, even shank it for that extra 1/10 of a second saved. This way I could complete a round in 14 minutes. Repeat as often as you have time and if you use starter balls which is logical as they're not going anywhere it costs nothing. No need for speed boosts either as the ball doesn't go anywhere.

Warning though, it's a boring as all hell!

So as from tomorrow I'm back playing 'real virtual' golf, i.e. tournaments. However this is too good to drop totally, so when I'm having a quiet office day at work I'll go back to this as I cannot play a 'proper' game at work as I don't have my notes, the connection is too squirrely and it just wouldn't feel right. I reckon I should be able to put together an extra 5 - 10K XP a week and still play my regular 9 holes tourney  each workday evening and 27 - 36 holes tourney on days off!

If I manage this I will level up quite a bit quicker while still playing my 'normal' amount of ranked rounds.

    Should we laugh or cry?

Anyway, kudos for your ambition and patience! You're ready for the R1 now!

Please allow to ask how this happens:

    Chinajohn:
a nice 635XP bonus for completing 9 holes

I'd expect 95 XPs for completion, did you play in company?

I assume this includes the number of shots taken?

No, I just tried it, 635 plus 135 for shots taken.

    Thank you CJ, nice tip.
