Food for thought on the voting issue.

When we in the States vote for political people we dont get much of a choice there either so............If your not happy with the choices then DONT VOTE . Makes sense ??

Without getting "political" in Australia it is compulsory to vote (or get fined as I did when living in Singapore). Right or wrong, choice or very little choice, everyone has their vote counted (unless you "spoil" the vote).

Good in many ways as people cannot then complain that the government does not have a mandate, but to me goes against a democratic right - choice to vote or not.

But in this case what will be  achieved  by a vote? If the people voting are the vast minority then the results are skewed. Imagine if only one vote was cast and policy or production of equipment was based on that one vote!

Heard that a few years back and thought..WTF ????

I DO know how to 'spoil' a ballot paper though...

Apparently THAT cubicle with a curtain, was not meant for THOSE purposes ?

( I wondered why there was a queue !!! )....wrong Bank

Obvious..in a democratic Country, one should not be FORCED to vote ?

Emmeline Pankhurst is turning in her grave.....and not just for the Women !

    In my country's  case..NADA

A third of the voting age adults are not interested in politics ....and the other half can't spell their own name !!

    Hence the coalition ?

LMFAO. Failing eyesight too? And I should point out - you are only meant to vote once.

I can't agree more, and hence why I have been "fined" $200 three times - each time I was not living in Aus and pleaded ignorance (in fact twice I had NO idea there was an election on).So agree many suffragettes will be turning in their graves.

Margaret Thatcher used to say why change everything for the majority to appease the minority.  It is like "political correctness, the world has gone mad lol.

    Yes this is true

In Australia when we reach a legal age (18 years old) we all have to register in the Electoral System. In all Political Elections, everybody on that Electoral roll has to vote or be fined if you don't.

Don't get me wrong, this Wgt Favorites survey is a great idea....  Just the Options that was given we all had to tick is not a true reflection of what really is happening in Wgt.

There should be an option to tick...  None of the above.

If we ever see the results....  those results will show 80% of people use this ball or play that course...   but the fact will be only 20% use or play.   Not a true indication of what's happening.

On a lighter note....   In Wgt land it's getting close to midnight 31st Dec....  Downunder it's just about night time on the 1st of Jan.... wish you guys try and catch up to us......lol

    Happy New Year Everybody

Edit... I wish I learn how to spell too, so I don't have to edit.....lol

Good bye old year, welcome New Year. Happy News Years!! I don't really see the point of these surveys, when we already got the stuff in 2013. So how are they going to make it better in 2014? Repeat what we already have? Says in 2014 we will get more of what is chosen. That does not sound good to me anyways.

If everyone has chosen Nike balls, then prices go up even more. Not any good choices on courses. Not anything to add for clubs except different ones than 2013 ones. So I am clueless on these surveys, as to whats the point? Just to have a flashback?

To make 2014 better you come out with better stuff than there is in 2013, not add more of what is already here. Like different courses, and different balls like top flite golf balls, and legend specific clubs.

Even if we get different stuff, they will add prices even higher, because every new product that is released is priced higher and higher. I guess they never heard of the word "DEALS". That usually makes more profit than racking prices up more and more. Do you think a Mazda 3 that you can get for $15,000 that we would pay for it if it was same car in 2014, but they raised it to $25,000 for 2014. No that does not happen to real businesses.

WGT raises and does not care. It just gets higher and higher, and spend more time in earn free credits pages, and less playing the game to get the stuff you want or fork money hard earn money over that is like paying a rental fee for the month. The concept of them earning money is more of taking our money, and who gives a flip if nothing comes out good for us in the outcome.

    LMAO

Sadly the Australian education system has followed the same route, we are now fast becoming an uneducated society who can only write in text language.

I recently had a CV written in Text language and funnily felt compelled to interview her.

I was  highly  impressed that they found the location, presentable and was punctual. Then first question (Why would you like to work here?) she stared like a deer inheadlights and said "i dunno, I just wan da money". It' did not get any better. But she did ask if there were other positions available as she has a sister who wanted work.

I so wanted to say, if she had 5 sisters with her  intelligence, it might boost the collective IQ to double digits. But hey, I have to be PC these days.

Think I will start digging a bunker!

Wow...if you're compelled to vote or face a fine, then you're not a free country .... that's what goes on in a dictatorship .... (just no gulag to face) ...

I think I'll stay in the USA ...
