I'm admiring the professionality and perfection of WGT's tournament organization, pun intended.

    The general announcement reads,

The Top 70 combined scores in each WGT Tier will split a total purse of 200,000 WGT Credits
WRONG - no prizes for Hacks and Amateurs.

    The tournament rules read,

The Top 70 combined scores in the Pro+ WGT Tiers will split the 200,000 WGT Credit purse.
WRONG again, because the amounts of 14000, 17000, 20000, 30000, 50000 and 70000 credits are related to the Pro to TL tiers, adding to 201,000 crs.

I actually can't say i disagree with it tbh.  Hack and amateur imply you play the game recreationally or organized but without earning anything. Gambling is  a different story, but they can still do match play challenge or skins challenge like in real golf

Pro implies you earn money at it, so, why not, on something called a Tour, limit those that can earn to those that are classified as professional and above

I could be wrong but I think he is saying they do not know English, not sure he or anyone cares who qualifies or not, but at least give minimal effort to communicating the eligibility requirements and the payout amounts and to whom.

Hacks and Amateurs have their (small) prizes in each Weekly and Monthly - amateur status cannot be the argument. Perhaps it's a legitimate effort to block multis?

I say they just don't care (enough) IMHO. This is a big, maybe THE year-long sponsored event and it comes along with such inconsistent information?!?

to give you all an update:

I was told that the rules are as intended but we'll try to clarify and re-word them to make it clearer. I do not have any deadlines though.

2nd round is same 9 holes (CTTH). Did you make the cut from the 1st round? If you did, the IOA banner will say play now (and it's a one time shot, not unlimited). If you missed the cut, the banner will say "leaderboard".

the Top 70 combined scores in the Pro+ WGT Tiers will split the 200,000 WGT Credit purse.  WRONG again, because the amounts of 14000, 17000, 20000, 30000, 50000 and 70000 credits are related to the Pro to TL tiers, adding to 201,000 crs.

Don't know if this helps.  but I saw the 201,000 cred's advertised in the link below.

I'd love to see the rest of the tournament laid out this way ... including the purse.   If there are surprises just put in "To be announced later" in that month.
