Getting really frustrated with some things happening recently. I had a 150  to pin shot 5feet below my ball and hit a full club that is 170 and is short by about 15 yards. How is this possible? Same game set my direction far right in 10 mph crosswind right to left with a 3w and hit just 1 tick left of dead center and ball flies 8 yards all the way across the fairway 8yards into the rough. How is that possible? Normally this would be in the center or just off left of center. Instead was 30 yards across

Are you taking into account terrain in the landing area of your shot?

Case 1: 150 down 5ft - if u have wind against, and are landing into an upslope (i.e., the greens slopes down towards the front) you might be short with low level sticks.

Case 2: 3W into 10mph x-wind - if ball lands on left to right side-slope with that wind you can expect a big hop and roll to the right.

The game is more complex than you think!

Me too.  Just played a Ready Go.  St. A. front 9, high wind.  28 mph wind at my back off the tee.  Drive went 290 yrds.  WTF?  This happened on three tee shots.  From the fairway, crap shoot as to distance with wind from behind or a headwind.  28 mph and no affect on distance of the shot.  So, if it was a headwind, I would club up and then the shot would go the full distance of the club.  Same with tailwind, 80yr shot, use 80yrd iron, full back spin back one avatar movement... 70yrd shot.  20+mph tailwind!

Wind had affect as far as moving ball left or right, but no affect on distance.  Really messes up the game when playing a shot into a heavy wind, only to not have the wind be there.  Like Charlie Brown trying to kick the football.  Always wind up flat on my back.

Of course with these unexpected results to shots, all putts were from the parking lots.  Wind had big affect on these putts.  But only if the wind was against the putt.

I have played this Ready Go before and did not have any of these abnormities.  I could say VEM, but it was on almost every shot and I don't think VEM is that cruel.

I expected a Ready Go to play the same as a ranked multi-player games and the Ready Go's I have played in the past.  I was wrong.  Live and learn.  "There is one born everyday."  This one in Dec. 52 years ago.

Any constructive advise would be helpful for the future.  Please keep in mind, this was not my first game.  lol

    Thanks,
