  21 November ...

  Today two very wonderful women celebrate birthdays today.  First off, Goldie Hawn is 69.  She founded the Hawn Foundation, which teaches children the Buddhist technique of "mindfulness training".  This technique has proven to decrease children's levels of aggression and increase optimistic thinking.

  Also, Marlo Thomas is 77 today.  Her father, Danny Thomas, founded the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in 1962, and she served as the National Outreach Director.

  and now, here's some singers celebrating birthdays today ...

  We'll start off with Canadian born Carly Rae Jepsen, who's 29 today ...

  and English born Conor Maynard is 22 ...

  Icelandic born singer Bjork is 49 ...

  Michigan born twins, Megan and Liz are 22 today ....

  Judy Garland's less known daughter, Lorna Luft, is 62 today ...

  A simply amazing Canadian born Tenor Saxophonist Coleman Hawkins (1904) was born on 21 November ...

  Steven Curtis Chapman is 52 today ...

  BTW ... anyone remember Joseph Campanella ... if ya do, he's 90 today.  I hope no one sets his house on fire lighting all those candles!

  Well Sis, I have not read "Anything for Billy" and I don't know why not. I still consider "Lonesome Dove" by McMurtry one of my very favorite reads. But as you know, I don't spend much time with fiction.

  The "cat" joke by Bruce Vilanch is a dandy indeed! To my taste...a doozy!
