Newbie here... Can someone tell: let's say, I aim at the distance 110 yards, i.e. the blue curve I set hits the ground in 110 years. The club is for 130 yards.  If I strike with 100% force, there's no wind, and the strike is "perfect", will the ball go for 130 years, or for 110?

It will go only for a few seconds ;)

The length is not determined by the marker position but by the nominal length of the club.

The arc even changes colour when you put it too far away.

A caveat: Take care to have it about half the shot's length out at least, it's good for the precision.

    hi

it will go for 130 (rated club distance). meter power determines how hard you hit it, so as you play more, you will be able to approximate 110 power :)

    practice is everything:)

Could you clarify a little more about this?

If the distance of the shot is determined only by the strength of the strike, then what is the effect of putting the arc farther or closer?

Putting the arc further or closer has NO effect on the shot u make, but what u will find is if u move the marker so far ahead that it becomes red, and then take a reverse view, u will get a better perspective of the probable flight.

    Hope this helps

You want to keep the aim arc as close to pin distance as possible when adjusting for wind.

Closer or Farther can make a big difference where your ball will end up due to the wind.

edit, sorry noticed OP said no wind.

    I added "at least" later.

The point is that setting the aimer very short, only a few yards away, which may turn out when you move it for wind compensation, might cause less shot control (direction). Just a rare experience, not proven scientifically.

I think where u aim it is where it goes, no matter whether it's 30 yards or 300 yards.

At least in my experience, but when u are playing to a pin, it is obviously better to have the aim marker adjacent, zoom in or select pitch to check the roll on the green.

Uhmmmm.... ya.... okay.... certainly not talking about this game, because as we all see now, most things are random now.

Your shot will go various distances and in whatever direction it damn well pleases... lol
