A year ago, I suffered from serious game burn-out. No more fun, angry frustration, zero focus and complete lack of desire. Because of my educational direction and commitment, I was out of the USA for several months then returned to Virginia (U of V) to complete my project, then returned home to California. For about 9 months, I never once logged on to WGT. In September I resumed playing here again with amazing rust. There were several new venues I had never seen or played, both full & ctth. Also, many new balls and equiptment to enjoy. I soon discovered that my passion, desire, focus and jolly fun had returned. And it is still with me. It worked for me, and a break just may help you.

That is very true Lily.. As I've been a member of WGT since 2009 I've taken multiple short breaks when I'm getting burnt out, but always seem to return.. I just came back from about a 7-8 month break and having a blast again..

I don't take non-playing breaks, but i will do is to revert to a level of equipment that gets me to a new place.  i will also use the "White Rock" to instill even more challange to my game.

Sure it will be frustrating and difficult at first, but for me it works.  My nickle...

I take breaks from time to time, nothing to do with burnout, but more to do with boredom with the lack of courses.

Yes selection has improved, when I  first  found this game it was CTTH only, left and re-fund it a couple of years later.

I find most players who burnout play a huge amount and usually will be the ones that play for credits, hence frustration when variances kick in. Personally I am here purely for the enjoyment and like Lee, can be happy with starters and the free ball and can't see the point of playing for credits as there is no real tangible reward.

If a game stresses you out that much, yes take a break, clear your head and perhaps you may find it can be an enjoyable game again when you come back.

I have tried to take breaks,,,,,   i just cant,  i get tired of playing sometimes,i hit walls now and then where nothing is working my way, i actualy loose some of the passion i had for this game sometimes . But as soon as i play a good game  score of 29 or less  well it all comes back ...    What keeps me coming back with renew passion is Thread like this ,the community of members i became friends with over the years ,,,,,When you play the numbers of games i play in one week  it is normal to get tierd .           Lately what  keeps my drive alive lately is the dream of becoming a TL ...Good or bad one,  getting there is my goal .    I wont take a break until i get there ,then i know i will have a long one  like two weeks   lollllll .     Frapp

I took a break, from the 1st week that I registered for almost 1 year, the reason being my PC and monitor were not just up to the task. I came back when I had upgraded all my PC and have been playing without a break ever since. I got so addicted to "getting better" that I was playing 4 - 6 hours a day. I went from pro to legend in 2 months and after 3 more months made TL

My aim now is not to take a break, but to keep my average where it is and continue playing with all my friends from around the world

My main enjoyment is playing A/S with a good bunch and not having to type cos we are all on skype

You mean a year out from WGT to do some intensive porn studies?

That can be bad for your clicking hand.

    Apparently.
