To run a successful club it takes a lot of time. Omega provides a website and follows the PGA schedule of events including the presidents cup and the ryder cup. We have a FedEx point system for credits at the end of the schedule and many more things that keep the membership active. We have officers in the club to assist with the day to issues and to help make decisions on changes to be made. We are a Team Speak only club, we do not type. It adds a whole new advantage to typing and you get to know the guys a bit better. I would never go back to typing again. Pros: I have met some the best guys on WGT that are now my friends. Cons: It takes a lot of time without many pats on the back. Just my 2 cents worth, hope it helps.

Spot on Alan - exactly what I would have said in my original reply, had I had enough time!

    LOL Kelly.

Now to  negate  the need for Michael asking the question - why not enough time?????

Painting nails, cooking dinner, cleaning the house, washing the dog. ironing hubbys (or Micheals shirts) shirts etc?

Ever considered time management courses? :))................*ducks*

.....cleaning my Glock, repairing targets, running the daily half marathon....   a woman's job is never done..!

The one thing I do tend to neglect is feeding the trolls...   ah well, no-one's perfect.

Ya got me.  I'd see it as more of a headache than anything else.

Most of the CCs I've seen are started by women.  They tend to have more brains.

    Corrected for accuracy. :-)

lol.....somehow i knew you would jump on that

I agree with Kelly,  it can be a lot of work but ultimately u sometimes get good feedback from members & that makes it worthwhile,it is a hassle to get members to play, but keep nagging & they will join in! lol  We only have three rules1) sense of humour2)never say sorry for a bad shot3)obey first 2 rules!!

I am sure u will find it interesting& any help u need just ask & send a friend invite

Cheers all the best & gl,

    Mike(owner of No Sorrys United)

Maybe you need to change something up Mike...you shouldn't have to nag members to play in events.

    RemBeau:

Excellent comments on this Thread &  well said Alanti

""CC owner will keep things fresh, by variety of comps and being innovative. Coupled with active members (both in playing and in the club forums) you have the making of a great club.

Some top advice from some very good CC Owners - there are some great clubs on WGT but they are great because the owner is dedicated and their members participate in the CC's activities."

Here is an example of members that participate.  This is Diane (Lady Di) she is the administrator of our Forum : http://wgt-scc.forumgratuit.ca/.

As you could see, the reward is when a person like this ,support  the CC owner.

On one of the round  of our Tourney Forum#1, she even took the  time to say Hi to participants.  :hihihi:
