The discussion on beginner's equipment next door made me think about those low level irons which come to disposition of new players. Unfortunately I haven't played any of them. Nevertheless, some thoughts, based on the descriptions.
First of all, a short list of levels and XPs for orientation:
Lvl 10 590 XPs
Lvl 15 1,500 XPs
Lvl 20 3,000 XPs
Lvl 25 5,300 XPs
Lvl 32 13,000 XPs
Lvl 36 20,000 XPs
Lvl 59 88,000 XPs (G20)
Between levels 10 and 17, we find three sets below 1000 crs.
They have very similar characteristics, equal in (fast) meter speed, spin and precision. Top lengths vary from 188 to 193 yds, not too much gain from the Starters @180 yds.
The RBZ "wins" IMHO with 1/2 dot forgiveness but better choices are coming soon.
Don't buy any
The second bunch ranges from 1100 to 1400 crs, levels 15 to 35, showing no significant difference in length.
The first, Rockebladez lvl 15, is my winner due to low level, low meter speed and high spin. The others may be a personal choice for price or forgiveness.
Buy or wait? (edited)
These are the "top guns" in the low level area, 190 to 205 yds
MAX (lvl 23), R11 (lvl 32), K15 (lvl 36)
(add Lvl37 RBZ, looking very similar to the elder R11)
Choose either MAX for early comfort (level, forgiveness, meter)
or R11 for attack (length, spin)
or K15 as a late comfy decision (a bit better in dots than MAX, 50 credits less in price)
The R11 got almost unanonymous votes in former discussions.
Comparing the two winners, RBZ and R11, is difficult.
Some advantage in spin and precision would favour the R11, forgiveness, meter speed and price favour the RBZMAX. And then there are the unmeasurables and the individual feelings - who knows which is better for you?
