  It seems very fortunate for me that the thing known as VEM (very evil moderation?) has never really visited my play after all this time. In fact, I never troubled to read any of the cry-baby posts because I believed they came from a delusion. Perhaps I should be honored that VEM keeps knocking at my door (actually, just barges in without so much as a by your leave) as of late. My questions are: What is it for? Why is it here? What utility does it provide? Who is selected? Who gets to make the selection? And, what is the motivation for the selection and the nature of it's foundation?

  Think of it as an artificial, program-induced simulation of performance pressure...or as a loathsome demon, if so inclined.

  Actually, you can send VEM9000 a friend invitation and "it" will accept ...

  It affects anyone who begins shooting consistently well at any time in any game mode. Remember the wild off-line shots on the 8th or 9th hole of CTTH back in 09 or 10 ?

  A version of VEM is in every single video game made.

  Now this isnt a shot at you but most players who complain of VEM are just moaning because they can. You have to be very good at this game and understand what shots you are hitting to really see VEM moving shots around. Most of the time you simply read shots wrong whether its wind or you actually putting the pin in the wrong spot from a crap camera angle. Some pins are marked with the wrong distances. blah blah. We know the story. 

  Welcome to the VEM club. Its good to have in games otherwise your shot would always be exact and well...thats no fun. Truthfully i think WGT needs to raise it higher, because equipment is so good that people can shoot silly scores. 

  I'm rambling. Really its just icons fault.

  as for VEM, it add's realistic conditions to the game because nothing is exact in real life and no 2 shots should be same. same for wind gusts, and such...

  imagine if 4 players all hit 195 club, not changing aim or spin and having 0 mph wind... then all 4 would land on top of each other or if first holed out, then other 3 would too!
