    WGTicon:
    I had a great round, 60 with 3 putts stopping inside 6".

Made MANY 10-20fters... It really helped that I was dinging everything this morning. Could have easily been a 57. I also parred 13th:(

Great round for me too! I had the help of this perfect 2nd on #15 for eagle, but had already made the turn -6 (even after missing out on routine birdie on #4). Too many missed ding putts on the back 9 though (including straight uphill 8 footer on the last), and very bad tee shots on the par 3s ... oh, if I could just get better at par 3 holes.... :(

I have to say I quite liked BPB with super-slow greens; I suspect it helped augment the weaker stopping power of my G20s, which is usually a challenge playing into so many elevated greens.

This birdie attempt on #11 hurt though...

Card and stats here if you're interested.

Cabo no 18 on these greens - i was afraid of it - and it was even worse than expected. That is a bit to crazy.

All the rest was a fair challenge and if I would not have played some real stupid shots (basically on the par 3s) that lead to bogeys things would be even better.

I tried to leave myself uphill putts whereever I could - I did this rather well - accually the round felt somewhat easy that way.

    Very happy with the round

Stupid... just as expected. Coming to the last at -12, lipping out or missing by less then a hole 8 putts in a row from the same spot for a 10 at the last. 2-3 people will be lucky and drain that 27ft putt and they will win. Great idea.

First WD...my limited knowledge of UEL mixed in with these crazy greens was just too much :)

Be back for the next 1 no doubt

thank you again for this weeks tourney - looking very much forward to next week again.

I am glad I have a couple of days to think about why it took me 6 holes to figure out this slow green speed again. This time it was worse than normal - I did not only miss the birdie opportunitiies but I ended up three putting and +3 after 6 - I did OK after that.

I still prefer the really fast green version over the slow one.Makes you think more.

    See you next week
    Cheers

    I withdrew!!!!

My excuse is I needed to test something. In reality, I got frustrated by constant lipouts and not being able to ding due to shaking hands. I usually play my rounds around 4-5am but being sick, I passed out on nyquil, so i threw in the towel after 10th.

Next conditioning coming tonight/tomorrow with #5 starting Monday.

    Hanswurst72:

That's my final participation in these tournaments for the moment.

I hope you change your mind Hans. (or maybe you already have?)  Tournaments like this need players like you.

Besides, with the possible exception of a stellar round by one of the few people left to play (roman with a 55, for example)...I think you won this one...despite my best attempts to stop you!  ;-)

I even threw in a hole-out on 13, and still fell short.  But the chase was loads of fun, and I thank you for providing such a lofty target.  Like I said before, I hope you're back next week.    :-)
