UFVG vs BSCC Matchplay Competition

  So Balenstone and I played our matches. On Kiawah, his first hit went into the sand. I won that one and was up 3 after 4. On the par 3 third, I holed a 58ft birdie to go up 4 and eventually won, 4up.That ass whopping earned me a trip to legend and the expenditure of money for a new driver.

  Balenstone was able to get on track for the next match. He won the first hole of Beth.P.B., I won the second, then even through the next few. He won the 15th and held on to win 1up. Very tough match. Well played.

  I've been reading the posts, and it seems we have some great people on both sides. I have been playing WGT for 4 yrs now and have run into some real idiots, but everyone here seems to be very gracious and it's refreshing. Well done everyone!

  Hatchy66 and I split our matches.

  Darryl took the first match 4&2 at Kiawah. One of the finest display of approach shots I have seen in one match. He was brilliant.

  I took the match at Beth 2&1. I played much better to hold him off. Some of his approach shots weren't within 8 feet like they were at Kia every hole, so I had a chance :)

  He was a great gentleman and was patient with me as we had difficulty finding time to get our matches in because of time zone difference and the fact I don't spend a lot time on this site during the work week..

  I used to be a member at Black Salt and hatchy66 is definitely one of the top players there with Mark the owner (MW90) and dadv. It was a pleasure playing with you Darryl.

  larry and i played our matches yesterday and we split  he won on bethpage 2 up and i won on kiawah 2up.  He was a good competitor and a nice guy and played very well.  Thanks to the 2 ccs for setting this up i enjoyed it

  I played my 2nd match with Randy, this time at Bethpage and once again it was a great game which I as fortunate to win on the 2nd extra hole

  Randy is a tough match player and a fine representative of Black Salt CC

  dadv  won both matches over QuebecCanada 3 up and 4 up. I do want to say that Q was a class act.

  Played Kiawah and managed to beat Son1974 by 1 hole. 

  Arranged to play BPB on Wednesday to complete the round of fixtures.

  Congratulations on the outstanding play of the UFVG.  The members of my club have mentioned time and time again how much they enjoyed playing their matches and meeting good folks who play solid golf.  Thank you Tony for setting all of this up and congrats again on your victory.  We'll have to set another up sometime in the future.

  Our Members had nothing but good things to say about the tournament (the victories helped) and the tough competition they faced from your side. It appears some new online friendships were formed and we definitely look forward to doing it again in the future.

  Thank You Black Salt for hanging in there and completing the competition despite the outcome being decided several days ago . . . one match remaining which I'm told is scheduled for later today . . .
