Tee shots carry about 20-30 yards longer than it should.

Is it the elevation being mis-reported? Or is there a more serious bug?

I haven't played BPB # 8 from the back tees so this is just speculation. But it could be that the elevation of the back tee is much higher than the other tees. And they are much higher than the green. So if the back tees are higher then the ball would tend to fly much farther than you expected it to.You already have to back down 1 or 2 clubs as it is. If the elevation of the back tees were say 10 feet higher than the other tees then you would need to back down 2 or 3 clubs or more.

    Hi Birdwell,

Just wanted 2 open a thread about this topic 2, but saw that you've already started 1.

I played #8 2 times in rather similar conditions. Both times it went far 2 far. There was a slight tailwind, about 3 mph and 6 from the right. Elevation from blacktees is 29ft down. I selected my G10 5iron (190yds) which I gave about 180-185 yds. It went both times 210, so 15yds further than the hole. Definitely a bug I think.

Hope WGT can fix this 1 quick, especially since the final Rydercup qualification is this weeks "18-Hole Single Play" at BB

    Funny.

I clearly remember that last year after qualifying, it took me good 2-3 weeks to adjust. I was hitting everything short or long.

I think it's about 10ft higher than being reported, hence it flies much higher. SO, i play it 1/2 club shorter

from black - if wind is perpendicular, I play it about 175, if into the wind, up to 185, with the wind, down to 165 (depending on wind strength).

    Edit - front pin location

I thought it was a bug too, but maybe it's just the elevation? I'll have to give 175 a try next time as 190 or 185 clearly don't work lol.

    price tks,

For the moment we have 2 be pragmatic indeed. But I still believe there's someting wrong.

Using the rough elevation calculation an 196yds hole 29ft down with perpendicular wind should be hit around 186yds. So definitely there's a bug. Could be in distance or elevation.

WGT, I/we would appreciate your reply on this 1!
