I brought this up to customer service last weekend, but nothing got done.  Maybe this is just another way WGT chooses to rip off CC members who participate in a "for credits" tournament.

A member of our CC setup a "for credits" tourney, and somehow, the tournament was duplicated.  One of the two tournaments had 4 participants, which WGT paid.  The other tourney had 14 participants which WGT has yet to pay or acknowledge there is in fact an error.

Here are the links to the two tournaments in question:

    Tourney 1 - 4 participants (paid)

    Tourney 2 - 14 participants (still unpaid - closed 1/16/2014)

I have a recommendation to where this doesn't happen again ... don't allow duplicate tournaments to get setup in the first place, especially if the tourney is for credits.

And, either WGTIcon or WGTDblShoe, could you do some research on this?  I'd like to make sure those that participated in the 2nd tourney (including myself) get paid, since we (WGT and the participants) have a contract, which WGT is currently defaulting on!  This isn't about the money ... it's more about the principle.  Please show me, the other participants and everyone else that you can bring this contract to a successful completion.

I shouldn't have had to complain in the first place ... and had customer service followed through, I wouldn't have had to make this public ... but it's now been a week and nothing is getting done!

The titles are identical but if you look at the URLs the tournament IDs are different so the game knows there are two separate tournaments.

    Pay up WGT.

    hi

most of the CC tourneys don't require manual closing unless they are randomly checked. in this case, 1 of the tournaments have closed but 2nd froze, which will require manual closure, which may take a little while.  I sent in a request, so hopefully it'll pay out soon.

there is nothing sinister going on...

A reply!  Thank you Icon.  I reported this to customer service last weekend, and sent them a 2nd notice on Tuesday.  To this moment in time, nothing has been done.  Sorry I had to get you involved to get this rectified.  In all honesty, I shouldn't have had to take it this far!

I thought I'd give everyone an update ... my original complaint that I filed with WGT customer service (#50321) was dated 18 January.  At this moment in time, nothing other than lip service has been done to correct this issue.  I'm getting the ol' "engineer" run-around.

I really don't care if WGT chooses to balk on the contract they made with the participants in this tourney.  Their lack of getting this issue corrected speaks volumes.  It wasn't much money ... just a broken promise that it would be fixed.

I just want to warn everyone.  If you belong to a CC and you have duplicate credit tourneys setup, don't play either one of them.  The one with the most participants will get ripped off!  That's my take, anyway.  WGT will pay out the cheap one and keep the big one ... then blame the engineers for the lack of customer service to correct the error until the matter gets dropped.

I'm dropping the matter, Icon and Shoe.  You don't need to do anything regarding this issue.  Just know my level of respect for WGT's policies in correcting this type of issue has plummeted based on the broken promises received by you and customer service. Keep the money.  With that and another 4 or 5 like it, both of you can get a "tall" coffee at Starsmucks!

Very bad taste I am afraid.  Quick enough to fix the fast XP glitch and fair enough.

Don't know how often it happens but all the favour going only one way.

In fairness I have had good customer service from WGT in the past, but this is grade A shoddy.

I've always gotten good service from customer service before.  I really don't know what the issue is here ... other than maybe, "if we make them wait long enough, they'll simply forget about it".

I'm to a point where I'm going to follow that customer service protocol and forget about it.  I just want others to be aware of this bug.  Keep the 123 credits WGT.  I've learned my lesson!  I just hope others do as well.
