Ok , my problem is always i think about every shot , move marker...plan where to click and when time to click , i click opposite of where i want to. Double crossing always.

So i am thinking in order to rectify ..instead of where to click exact ..i am going to click where wind direction is.

Left to right wind ...click after ding.

Right to left ..click before ding.

What will happen is ball may be moving in a direction more but it will be in area where i want the ball to be.

What do you think. it has better chance of being consistent...may be i will have longer putt but safer putt.

Missing with the wind is a terrible idea. It has zero chance of being consistent. Better to work on your click timing.

    Cheers

Around 15mph horixantal wind is managable.

To make what you speak of work at all you'll have to aim even further off the flag and will still have to click on the right side of the line, which you said you were having troubles with. You're just setting yourself up for some crazily off-target shots.

And vertical winds aren't? I've never had any problems with these!

Your idea has some merit but as other have said its always better to ding.

With that being said, on a horizontal wind for example if going <<<< 20 Miles an hour, if you cant ding it always better a touch late then a touch early. But what happens is you lose yardage because you have missed the ding. If you are a hair early the opposite will happen and you will be left and the ball will carry more times then not giving you more yards on the shot.

This is what I have learned from playing so far, always better to play ding as this will give you a much better chance at being close to pin, all other things are a gamble.

    Happy Hitting,

    Mes.

How is missing the ding on the wrong side of the wind (with the wind)going to be more consistent? You get bigger deviations when you miss the ding on the wrong side of the wind (with the wind).

How is having longer putts going to be safer putts? with certain exceptions it is always better and safer to have shorter putts.

It's all relevant to me, I'm on a limb with 2 Eagles, don't see any other options than to ride the wind. I believe I can fly, I believe I can touch the sky, or maybe die.

Its not how much deviation it is where u want the ball to be. At present i get confused as my ball go everywhere. I can't plan on ahead.

    Give u good example.

In oakmont there are holed near right fringe with wind going from right to left. In this can i move marker to bunker hit before ding. I always ensure i am in the green as win takes me to hole or after. 100% consistent. Idea is there is a chance of HIO because ball is moving towards hole 100%
