I currently play the TaylorMade Rocketballz Tour Graphite Irons (L37+), but I don't like the swing meter. During Xmas I tried the TaylorMade R11 Steel Irons (L32+) and liked them better and I'm seriously considering getting them soon. I just unlocked the Max Meter Iron Set (L47+) which has a slower swing meter and more forgivness, but less spin.

My question is which should I go with?

    1) TaylorMade R11 Steel Irons (L32+)

    2)  Max Meter Iron Set (L47+)

I have been playing with the lvl 32 R11 since I reached lvl 32 and like them fine, they are solid clubs. Both clubs you mentioned lack a high tradectory.   If I were you,  I would wait till lvl 59 and get the G20s, it won't take you long to get there.  Wish I would have done that.

If I was you, I'd get the Max meter (cheaper as a full set), but if you want to hold off until l59 (40,000 xp or so more) there are the G20's that go longer and split the R11 and the MAX Meter swing speeds. They are also more precise than either one (1 full dot), however they are less (1 dot less than R11, 1.5 to MAX) forgiving. It has the same spin as the R11's and only 200c more (2195 vs 1995). Also, HIGH trajectory.

There's an update due tonight (US time 28th Jan) and there are new clubs due then (wedges and a driver have been hinted at) I'd wait and see what the update brings.

I would ask myself which is more important; spin or distance.

For me, I chose spin. Even if you can hit it a mile, if you can't stop the ball effectively on the green, you're losing strokes. True, there are holes on some courses where being creative can still get you close, but there are just as many where you need stopping ability.

I'd wait for the L52 Nikes or L59 G20s. IMO they're both a much better choice and can easily serve you until you reach the back tees.

Are the G20s now G25s?  Or is there a difference?

    Thanks.
