I agree with both statements. I dont like it when I ding a shot and it doesnt go where it should go or where I expect it to go. That is very frustrating. It is just a game and that program tries to make it realistic. (Thoughts on this) How many people actually can hit a "good" shot or a ding consistently. Not me. so that being said what is the number of people who plays average ding rate? probably not all that great either. isnt that a challenge in its self there?
why not change the game based on how close you come to the ding determines where the ball goes. and do away with the vem and what it does? just throwing thoughts /ideas out there. Its a game yes should you be able to "master" it like pacman? or any other number of games that you can win like mortal combat where you can have a flawless victory? how much fun would that take away from this game? Would people want to play the game still? Would people like being able to get more birdies, eagles and hole in ones? There are too many what ifs to determine if WGTs choices are good or bad. They are a business and in any business there number 1 goal is to make money, regardless if we agree with their methods of making money, whether we think its moral or not is another debate. At the end of the day we all make choices good or bad. In the end we will all know if we made the right choices.
