There is a new three wood on the way, the forgiveness on R11S has changed which is always the sign that a better one is on the way.

I predicted about a week ago that a 3 wood would be the next new item available.  Based on how old the current top one is, not on it's drop in performance.

I never dreamed new wedges and a driver would turn up instead.  Maybe a new Nike Covert is waiting to enter stage left right now though.

Does'nt matter, I'm done getting ripped off. Buy the clubs and they work for a while and stop.

You are right about the r11's it's no better and worse then the r11 was now.

Nikes are also in the toilet again for me as well, it was a pretty good couple of weeks, but FCK it..

I'm going to hell, because I cannot go 9 holes without saying WTF.

    Have Fun, Play safe.

EDIT: Well at least I'm not alone, sitting 4th after a round I may as well of played with a tennis racket. LOL

Just waiting to trade it for the new one I guess.  Using the L92 Max which works fine anyway really.

I'm at a total loss. i.e. The par 3 kia in the back, 14 or 15 , 197 3 feet down, not sure which hole to be honest, get all my calcs done, reverse view aim, figure hit about 193, check club, 4 iron, select spin just a touch below fbs as i figured a little long is better then short, draw the club back, let it run through, not ready yet. check aim reverse view again, check spin again, check club. Ok draw it back, hold, hold, hold, let it go, focus, focus ding, away it goes, looks good, right on line just right of pin and fading left, it's going to be a good 1, seen it dozens of times, camera changes, I'm expecting it to drop and roll down the hill near the pin, but I get spash in the left and long pond. what like 270, two hundred and seventy fckn yards, fck off.Beat the dog, go get a coffee, beat the dog again.

    LOL, Have fun play safe.

like 270, two hundred and seventy

5 iron 11MPH tail wind at RSG 100% power FBS made it all the way to 176 yards (OK then rolled but...).  I was in practice mode and it was consistent.

9 iron FBS 9 MPH tail wind again at RSG 100% power 130 yards.  Again practice mode and consistent.

Now OK wind has a flattening affect I hear people hark, BUT at Kiawah I was getting those yardages I was looking for consistently with similar winds, namely 139 / 185* respectively with the above.  Edit: 185 is a neutral wind FBS from Fway, and I do understand that and allow for wind noting as I go but this seems all over the place over too many different holes....

Some holes the 9 iron, neutral winds, goes 130 yards consistently when mapping (Kiawah 1 as an example), and turn up to Beth 9 and similar everything except it goes 134 yards consistently.  Other holes tried it as well and when think got it just WTF............I fully accept some holes play differently, but with the R11s I knew where I was basically.  Guess I could just stick to Beth F9 and go to the B9 when I really wanted to test myself, but that don't really appeal LOL

I also get the FBS bit and tried lifting off that with similar how does that work results.  BUT also what's the point of having top performing irons and top balls so long as you never use the spin in any wind over 1MPH head or tail.  L90 R11s were fine .......

Seemed to be going well for a while after the irons starting suddenly going straight, and put in a couple of really good rounds.  Now pfft

Need to leave it alone a while as just confused the hell out of myself.  Not like I am even using the L81 ball now......Come back when the grey matter is clear...Just confusing the hell out of myself...I am done for now.........

The yardages and elevation you give match Kiawah #8, the original back pin from the back tees.  #8 also has a pond behind it so pretty sure that's the hole.

You used a 4 iron?  To hit 193 from the tee?  Why?  I mapped my nike 4I as 212 with full back from a tee.  But my nike 5I is 194 with full back from a tee.  (  I use Cally L35s so YMMV but not by a lot.)

Full Nike VF 5I with full back spin was the shot to hit.  Disaster awaits if you hit a full 4I in error.

Replay of a full 4I and a touch less than full back spin on Kiawah #8.

There I used an old ball with just 1 dot of distance and missed a bit early. It carried 216.  A Nike ball dinged could have carried to the water.

I looked at this score card and went wow, must be nice. In the final with the exception of hitting the pin on 3 and taking my chances right out of it, but, with starting the round in 4th, I figured I could still post a 70 feet and maybe get some credits and I was doing ok, but then on 9, the usual creeps in on me. All the same as above, I had been there before, had that wind, knew the 4 iron( Been a week, memory tends to fade and notes have been eaten might of been 3 iron, whatever it was the club that worked several times in practice), the spin, the ball would get me close, all I had to do was hit the ding, I ding, breathe sigh of relief,  ball heads off on a good line, Phew glad that's over, feeling good, camera angle changes, and boom, 60 feet short.

Time after time after time. The clubs behave, then boom, almost out of nowhere the camera angle will change and it's WTF just happened there. I just never know anymore. I had a straight 6 foot putt slowly roll directly right across the hole, like there was no hole. Well I was putting in reverse view, I went WTF just happened and hit replay, of course the reverse view is no longer available with our new and improved replays, and low and behold the putt had missed by a foot to the left, so it was true, there was no hole there.

I can not go 9 holes without something weird happening.

But, just have fun and play safe.
