stuck at tour master

  Hello,

  I have two buddies that are stuck at 62.00 and cant move to legend.  Why is that?  one shot a -5 in ranked play and still didn't move.

  Is it frozen?

  You must have a 61.00 average as well as 400 ranked rounds as a TM to advance to legend.

  Excuse me, first thought: They should play better.

  And, which evidence do you produce?

  -5 is possibly 67 over 18 holes - a void score against 62,

  and it's possibly 31/62 over 9 holes - just about square under certain circumstances.

  And, nothing can be said without their profiles and score histories.

  i know, but if i am at 62 would it not go down if i shot a -5?  He already has 400+ ranked rounds

             If it was -5 of a 9,Hole it should have droped a  .1 or .2

  I was reading a similar thread to this just the other day and one response was to just forget about the score and concentrate on enjoying the game. As the saying goes, "A watched pot never boils...".

  What is a -5? It means nothing without other parameters.

  Score input to the average is gross scores, different between 9 and 18 holes, Par3 and Par5 scores excluded.

  -5 may be many numbers between 22/44 and 67. Which one precisely?

  Which tier? How many ranked rounds counting in this tier?

  Not number of ranked rounds. Number of ranked rounds as a TM.

  -5 on a par 72 course is a 67. On a par 70 course -5 is a 66.

  -5 for 9 holes (31) on a par 72 course would be = to a 62 for computing scoring average. 

  -5 for 9 holes (30) on a par 70 course would be = to a 60 for computing scoring average.

  Plus you have to consider that the new score is compared to the other ranked round scores earned in that tier, and if the stroke average at that tier is saturated or not.

  If the player's stroke average is saturated (40 ranked rounds for a TM), the new score displaces the oldest/highest score for the players current tier.

  Nitpicking: TM saturation is at 50 rounds - 40 is for Masters.

  BTW: My mentioning of 22/44 as -5 refers to the Par3 course.
