   Just played febreury monthly best of par 5 ..i made -3 and my average don t go down why??

  Think gross scores for the average.

  You shot a 42 over 9 which means 84 for the average. Which drop do you expect? *grins*

   

  Honestly: Par3 and Par5 courses do not count in.

  IMHO Neither one counts @ all

  Wgt rules must be changed because for them  only par 3  don't count

  Regardless it being a Best of course, your stroke average is about how many strokes you took and not about how many shots under or over par you were.

  As pointed out you took 42 strokes (84) which is quite a bit higher than your 69.whatever stroke average before you played the 9 holes.

  In other words,  -3 on a par 72 course is a score of 69, while -3 on a par 70 course is a score of 67.
