Joining a CC is probably the best thing you can do here.

You meet new friends and you find people you can trust to play AS / MP.

There are more tournaments to play (for free and credits) so you get more XP.

You have a source of advice, most CCs have plenty of members willing to give you plenty of good advice. (Usually without the snipes you get on the main forums).

So, yes, join a CC, just try and pick one with a good range of tiers and plenty of active (very important) members. Many CCs have a large membership but often the biggest factor to how much fun they are is the activity of the membership not the size.

    Completely disagree; be careful. ;)

By all means join a country club but do a little homework first.

Be prepared to join in the comps that the club sets and be an active member. I get a lot of requests to join and then they just play blitz. Why did they even join? Just wasting my time.

You will get a lot of expert advice in a club so check how many top players they have.

Chinajohns post says it all Tijer. Oldstir doesnt belong to a CC, so not sure whats up there? Not having a dig Oldstir. Finding a CC with a good lot of member activity is a must, and good luck in your new adventure Tijer. Have fun.

Join a club .The club that I belong to is very active . I play so much , that my finger is sore . At any given time , we have 5 - 7 tourneys going on both free and play for credits . I think that my club has a few openings right now , and I think the owner would be happy to have you . We are a small club , but we play a lot . Hope that you consider joining .:-)

I'm on my 3rd Club. Cant seem to get in 1 that is active. Current Club has "0" activity. I created a free, week long tourney just to try and get things going. The only person that played was me.

Is there a way to enter a club as a "probie" or are they all by invite only?

    I don't understand you guys.......

If your in a CC that isn't active why stay there???  Leave and find one that is active - not hard.

I'm not in any CC at the moment (my choice) but I used to belong to one which had so much going on it took a little too much of my time as I was trying to sell my house at the time  then my wife got sick so I pulled out. I was told if I ever wanted to go back they would gladly reinstate my membership. I made a lot of good friends there and had a heap of fun.

They had live matches on the weekends where you used Skype to chat to everyone while playing and it was a bunch of fun. The had all kinds of comps running throughout the season with championship matches at the end of every season.

Here's the link to the CC i'm talking about and good luck in your endeavors finding the right club for you.
