CC v. CC Match Play League

Are there any clubs out there who would be interested in a league competition.

Clubs would play each other home and away, with the home sides' players choosing the course and conditions. For example, a ten club league would therefore have 18 matches to play for each club, 9 home 9 away games - to be played one per week. As a suggestion each game would be 15 singles a side, and a player would have a maximum of one 9 hole match per week. Exact match conditions can e determined later, this is just a suggestion.

If there is sufficient interest I would be happy to produce a schedule of matches (each club having one game per week), and to collate the results into a league table. Captains would be expected to pick their side, and to post overall match results in the relevant thread.

I know that these games are popular within my club, and also with other clubs that we have played against. If your club also enjoys them and would like a regular schedule of these games to play, please enter your clubs name here.

I love the idea. I've pitched it to my club to see what kind of interest there might be.

One question: what about a club's roster changing during the course of the season?

I can see where after you get 15 players, someone else wants to be a part of it so players are swapped in and out. I can also understand the desire to keep the teams as constant as possible to avoid the issue of "ringers".

What about a max number of players with 15 active per match?

We have a squad of players who play in matches against other clubs. The team changes for each match to give everyone a game.

Anyone who is a member of your club would be eligible to play. Maybe a rule could be brought in that to be eligible, you must have been a club member for a month, this would prevent 'ringers' if this was a problem.
