    BubbaPingDing:

    winows 8 is my browser

    Unfortunately, win 8 is a tablet based OS that does not support the keyboard and mouse functions very well. From the beginning it has been a huge problem, 2 patches later the issue has not gotten any better.

    https://www.google.com/#q=windows+8+mouse+and+keyboard++issues+and+gaming

    I had the same issues as well recently with my new laptop running windows 8. After months of frustration, losing balls, wtf shots that are not your fault. I decided to upgrade to windows 7  X64 ed and the  play was much approved . Less mouse lagg but still erratic meter behavior. It has nothing to do with wgt'  There are 1000's of threads

    This explains why windows 8 is not a good choice for an online PC game. At the moment I'm using a standard logiteck optical mouse and getting good results.

    Good Luck

    The easiest way to check if you mouse button is going bad is to go to your control panel click on the mouse icon to bring up your mouse settings. The first page there is buttons. The top setting is button configuration. Click on switch primary and secondary buttons. The right button will then me the main button. Play like that. If the meter works correctly you will know your left mouse button is going bad. If the meter still behaves the same you will know that the problem is elsewhere.

    I realize WGT isn't Battlefield 4 or anything like that but you're still playing a game or working with an  application' which is dependent on interaction between your mouse - computer.

    If you want to remove a big piece of the puzzle of 'why I can't hit the ding?' Get a gaming mouse. Standard mice have garbage polling rates. Make sure it's plugged in directly to the computer, not a hub or keyboard. If you're using windows download the registry fix for raw input, not too important for this game, but still takes a layer of control out of the picture.

    People don't think it makes a difference, it does. There is a big difference between a polling rate of 125 (which is around the average for  consumer  mice) and 1000.

    Try it....
