We'll be in the middle of a game and it is someone's turn to hit and the game locks up.  Heck we can continue to chat but one player won't load up and we're done.  I joined n December and it seems to be getting worse. Doesn't matter which one of my computers I play on .... it's not my computer ... so WGT what's going on?

In many cases the reason a multi-player game gets ruined is because one of the players has terribly inadequate download speed. They won't admit it or recognize they are the problem but they are.

CD is right. I normally don't get these problems but my internet has been at low power for a week and now I keep getting kicked. My ISP says it should be back to normal today thank goodness.

    That's incorrect....

I have a pretty fast cable Internett connection...  My multi player games are terrible, because of my slow loads

Are you sure? Many ISP's aren't as forthcoming as Courteney's was. Many will have speed problems and never tell you,or if they do it is after it is fixed.

I have huge internet issues for various reasons (some of which I'm sure you can imagine if you consider my location) beyond my control and so I've taken to regularly checking my internet speed. I use www.speedtest.net and for reasons I've never figured, (nor had adequately answered) WGT while not needing very high speeds does need a VERY constant rate. If your speed drops significantly even for less than a second, WGT will hang.

I find this very annoying, I play Secondlife which requires a LOT more of both my PC and my ISP and it handles my connection much better than WGT does, when my connection drops it just pauses (lags) and waits, WGT often bangs out totally. Which btw, is the main reason why I don't play multiplayer games.

Today my net is fine (first time for everything), but I've been getting lagged and metered all OVER the place today.  Frustrating.  Cost me games against guys I'm much better than.

It's your CPU %.  Goota get it down in order to have a smooth meter.  Download Razor Game booster and check your processes in Task master to close down any other unneeded programs running in your background.

I refuse to play WGT until I get my CPU % down to 15% or lower.  My meter "lags" when my CPU % is high and is buttery smooth when it's not.

In other words, it's not WGT.  It's you!  I know this because I was told the same thing when I complained about my meter.  I got pissed and decided to fix it.  You should do the same because there is nothing worse than being relegated to guessing where your meter is going to lag.

Two suggestions. First-right click on screen. White window should appear. Click on settings, then bring pointer all the way right. Will say unlimited. Also-click on global settings the delete all data. This has really helped smooth my meter out.
