I know who is... or should I say there is a few great Wgt Golfers out there.

How about if Wgt starts a comp for everybody.   With a twist for heaps of Prizes.

We have a group stage for everybody in their Continent.....   Then the top few of each Continent goes into the next stage.   .......  and eventually the Overall winner.

I would like single round Qualifying... none of this unlimited rubbish  ... then a knock-out match play comp after the first round.

I failed English and Geography....   So how many Continents are there...lol   Asia, Europe, Nth America, Sth America, Africa.

Australia and Antarctica make seven.  Oddly enough there's only one ocean, people just give parts of it different names.

I also wonder would it be random drawing prizes to people that aren't really people

I used this answer in a  school  exam (many moons ago) and when it was marked with a big red cross next to it, I complained  vociferously. Well after a visit to the principals office and a weeks worth of detentions for being a smart ass, I learnt there is a time to be witty and a time to tow the company line.

But smugly I knew I was right.

Damn right you were right, but a valuable lesson learned about choosing one's battles and the innate arrogance of bureaucratic authority.

Now, impossible to say. There are numerous Legends & TL's that on any given day can hang and beat anyone. However, there was a time when everyone here knew that Tibbets was the undisputed best.

I guess the only way to find the best is to do a multiround using every course we have here. All single play and the player with the best score is the best.

It might help if you set criteria for what "BEST" might be. It also may be true that - as in real life- the best changes, is fluid- in the shorter term. Think Rory McIlroy or Tiger Woods. Even these guys look bad any given week against the constant new crops of 'young guns'.

It might be easier to say "who would you say belongs on the list of the truly elite players currently active" as well as a "hall of fame" for all time greats from the past.

In the 'current' roster you would have to include names like Dansamcan, Bollox, Sebicu (RG king), and a few others who are in that league- but you could also have categories for "best putter" (statistically-% 1 putts, putts per hole), best from tee to green (avg distance, % fairways and greens), best "ham n egger" (% sand saves/rough).

It would be interesting if WGT had a statistical "best" list in the above categories, plus "most tournaments won", "most top 10's" "scoring avg. last 100 ranked rounds", and the like.
