Nike Forged VR PW

  I wrote WGT to tell them the PW is off.  They told me to take it here.

  Taking very little off I'm lucky to travel 108.  Does anyone else have any problems with this PW.  Most clubs you know how little you can take off and cut maybe 10 yds off your distance.  With this club a hair or two off and I can't even reach 110.

  Ted, you're a TL with one heck of a better game than mine but I have to ask, did you index/map the clubs the way YJ & others do?  If you do this, there are few surprises from the clubs (lol).

  I love that PW.  If you just got the irons, clear your caches and try again:)

  In all honesty the PW is a great club IMO.  You do need EXACT to the pixel spin settings with that level 90 ball as you probably know.  It's very consistent once dialed in from what I can see.

  Hey Ted,

  Can you be a bit more specific. What balls are you using? How much spin? Are you taking about dinged shots or missed ding shot?

  I know for me this club loses the most distance when more spin is applied and depends on the ball you are using. However I, and the community, would probably be able to comment better if we knew some of the answers to the questions above.

  Hey Ted, I see you are using the nike black ball. This ball has tremendous spin as you know. If you are using very much backspin it will reduce the distance considerably. I have found with the new nike irons the lvl 61 ball with very little spin is dead on distance and spin wise. Hope you figure it out soon.

  You don't need much spin with this club.   Neutral spin will travel about 122 yards (before wind and up/downhill is factored in) so adjust from there.  I never use full b/s (and seldom use more than half) with this club.

  I find, treat it as a 120 yd ATV wedge , works great :-) .....

  For sure. If you are using the blacks and applying full backspin you can lose 8 yards easy, possibly more, and that is assuming you hit the ding. If you miss it could be much more and if you have a headwind it could also be magnified.  

  Like lonnie i play the 61 nike and apply full spin on alot of shots. Found with the blacks as I played them that i had to be more delicate with the spin that was applied, especially with the shorter irons.

  It has to be the ball. My PW acts like a CG it's so good but I'm using the 33 Callaway.
