    1. wind is random because in the long run that's fairest for all. in reality, wind is never the same for all players are there are gusts, you hit from different angle and it simple changes based on the morning/afternoon or just hole location.

Gusts is one thing, but a heavy wind par 5 with simple tail versus head wind so random is a lottery.  Comes a point the world ex WGT thinks it's not good....Appreciate you have to spin the company line, but clearly it's nonsense.

Won't be agreeing with you here.

Well said Jim. Nonsense would be putting it lightly. I like the long run theory. LOL

It is very obvious that these gents don't play real life golf. I wonder have they ever even watched it on TV? It is crazy for sure.

Ever see players in the same round have a headwind of 20 mph and the next player get a tailwind of 20 mph on the same hole? Must of had a hurricane between groups no?

Yeah that all works out.  LMAO!

Edit: Yup done had this conversation before. Glad to see still got the same retarded excuse. Can't do nothing but laugh at that shite.

This is the key point. On par 4s and 3s (with very few exceptions) it doesn't matter much which way the wind is blowing; you can reach the green in regulation and have a decent birdie chance no matter what.

Par 5s are different. With heavy wind, the wind direction is usually the difference between playing a three-shot hole and a two-shot hole (with a tailwind, perhaps even a mid-iron approach). There are few enough par 5s that the randomness can't possibly even out within the course of a round or two. One shot may be the difference between 5000 credits and 0 credits (to give a random example that happens to be a tournament I'm close to the top in).

In the long, long run, it does even out. But that's small consolation.
