That isn't possible I'm afraid. But you can place any clubs, apart from irons or putter, in the five optional club slots, so you can have up to five wedges should you wish.

Jim, Scott is absolutely correct. As you progress, you will definitely need more and better wedges. When you start adding them, the first club to remove from your bag would be the hybrid - punched irons will help you out of fairway ruff just as well as that club.

And until the legend tier for the most part you don't need a 3 wood. So just driver and 4 optional wedges. I played that way until they brought out the R11 3 wood. I still do at times. Especially the front side of St. Andrews.

thanks. bought another wedge and put it in the bag. out went the hybrid. punching out of rough works great and  the additional wedge fills a gap. hard to believe how close to the real thing this game comes. it's great how willing you all are to be helpful. many thanks. broke par today, for the fist time, using the new club se up. appreciate the help.

I just started 5 days ago, I appreciate advise such as this. That Hybrid has not does this hacker any good. Any ideas on what wedge to get and what level you have to be to get a decent one?

The best way to get the wedge distances right is to pick the lowest distance available in the make of wedge you prefer and choose two that fill the gap between that and your shortest distant iron. So let's say your shortest distance wedge is a 60 yarder and your shortest hitting club in your iron set (also called a wedge) is a 120 yarder then you're better off buying an 80 yard and a 100 yard, then you'll have equal gaps.

Good stuff, breaking par that first time is a great feeling.

Just taking punch a step further - it is a great shot from the fairway as well. A punch shot will not be affected by the wind as much and is perfect for those "in-between" shots rather than reducing the power on a full shot too much.
