Arrgh. Came to the 17th hole -11 and thought I'd take the early lead  with the first Legend 60 of the week, then my Glenmorangie ball finally ran out of hits and I hobbled in with a 62. Well, can't complain about a ball I didn't have to pay for.

And it would have lasted until the 18th tee shot if I hadn't missed two greens earlier.

Oh, bad luck mm! That's still a very impressive score with the lower-level balls.

I just came home with a 60, after a start that seemed hopeless: just -1 heading to the sixth tee having 3-putted the fifth, oops! Then a string of birds got me back in it. I see Lisa also has a 60 but I wouldn't be surprised if someone goes lower this week. My most interesting shot challenge in this round: this attempt to play a slight ts run-up 6-iron with 90% pwr to the Road Hole after finding a wicked downhill, big sideslope lie from the tee. Just gave it a little too much juice!

The TLs must have Low wind (or at least I hope so!): those are some great scores being posted there. Congrats Bonalyau on the current lead with a fantastic 56, and to Andy and Russ on 58s. No sign of Tour leaders Konrad, Mags, and Ben yet though...

After a weeks enforced hiatus, back in the swing of it trying to make team ROW.   I must say,  a lot of the bigger dogs have suddenly taken an interest in the UEL which is a good thing.

    Corwyn:

    ---

Edit: FYI: I've been reminded that WGT's revised TOS mean that credit games can no longer be used as a method for passing on community-sponsored prizes like this, so winners will need to choose Pro Shop equipment or balls for their gifts.

To be honest, Corwyn, I prefer it that way,  bravo to those who dip into their credits to provide an incentive for these competitions, but why should WGT take a cut.?

You're absolutely right, Steve. I too have never liked that method of passing on sponsored prizes; far better to send gifts.

And congrats to Eric (LOLserver) on such a good finish to your round, even playing with the wrong hand. I know how painful hand surgery can be. It's great to see you back so soon.

Glad to see you back too, Steve! Boy, is the competition tough amongst the ROW players. Good luck in the race to qualify. We need you, Steve, as our experienced Team Captain!

    ---------------------------------------

Here's a round-up of standings after Week 20. Thanks WGT for such a prompt payout this week!

St Andrews saw a stunning round of -16 by Bonalyau, for his first win of the Tour. Well done, Jean! Mags was second, and leapfrogs Konrad as the new leader in the TL tier in both Credits and Relative to Par standings. Closest rivals KyRock75 and bhoese had disappointing rounds by their high standards, and will be hard pressed to close the gap on our two leaders.

In Legend tier, Corwyn 's 60 (after a slow start), somehow held for the win, but lisalovesthesun was desperately unlucky to lose out on a tiebreaker. They must have been on the course at the same time, as Corwyn thought that 61 was the target score. It's disappointing that niqueclyde seems to have stopped playing these tourneys (he's now missed the last two). I've tried to reach him and let him know of the prizes he could win, but there's been no response. If anyone knows him, please pass on the message!

Please note: I've also just posted an update to the Ryder Cup qualification standings. See the latest post in that thread here.

Had a good round tee-to-green at RSG - average distance to pin of 14 feet and never outside 25 - but had 8 putts burn the edge and 2 lip out. Only managed an eagle, two birdies, and a bogey for a 67. Putts from 10 to 20 feet are the primary reason why I won't be a Tour Legend for a long time.

I hit into fairway bunkers on #2 and #18 and had to actually hit it backwards on #2, but saved par on both. It felt like a real Open Championship except with lighter winds (and no rain - are you listening, WGT?).

You can't play UEL in an alt game.  You can't play in practice mode so there's no option to select lies.
