Just wondering if any of you play "real" golf off-line? I'm curious if there is any correlation between your real golf handicap and your WGT handicap...

As for myself, I'm a bogey player in real life but play scratch golf on-line although the recent US Open tourney is ruining my handicap!

How about players like Tibbets? Do you think he plays "real" golf and if the knowledge playing off-line translates into a better score on-line?

    Just a thought...

    Interesting point.

My first reaction was that you were completely off your rocker and that there are two completely different skill sets.  Then I thought about it and find that the skills I use, (all but actually striking the ball) on the golf course can be used here.  Touch on putter, reading the wind and break, course management, when to pitch vs. flop...

Yea, I could see some skills translating from the real fairway to the virtual one.. but they would be probably less than 25% of the game.

    my 2¢.

    Cheers

I've been as low as a +1 in real life, but about an 8 on here.

I'm a 2.1 in real life and about the same on here but thats just because I've been playing Bethpage. Before that I was as low as 65

Yes, Bethpage reminds you that you are merely a mortal...

After all my years of playing Tiger Woods on EA sports I think there is a direct connect between the game and my off line game.  Don't get me wrong, I'm not good at real golf because I'm good on Video Games, but it lets me see how something is suppsed to be done, and gives me an idea of a good swings, and right approaches.  It may not be a big deal, but it helps.  Like when a baseball play watches his swing on video after his ABs.

I'm hoping to obtain one this summer.

    On WGT I'd say I'm 14.
