Agree with most of comments posted...clapping very ' tinny' and hollow...nothing like real golfing spectators behind the ropes!

Like the new facelift with graphics but oh the beer advert...can understand the reasons why...

Havn't managed an eagle yet...do we get some cheering  hooting and hollering?

Except when playing by yourself. No need for the clapping .. or telling yourself NB too much. Just give me an option to quite the clapping especially when playing late.

In fact, I'd wish there was a way to simply hide the all scoring and the "BIRDIE/EAGLE" words all together. It is a distraction that is not needed IMHO. I do better when not watching or now hearing all that extra stuff.

Also, like the new Par 4s but do not understand/agree with the default course ratings.

A volume adjustment for the applause as a stand-alone in the options would be excellent, as some of us listen to music when playing...

It would be better if the clapping were just in tourney play (who are these people following me around all the time, lol!)

It doesnt take long to work out you go to the AUDIO settings and turn down AMBIENT sounds

Doesn't work that way. You would have to turn off ALL the sounds (top option on AUDIO page)  including the ding.

The way I have played for years. I play mostly at night when everyone else is asleep. The ding ( the few times I hit it) would wake my wife up. So I mute all sounds when i play.

X2 JIm, and besides playing in silence, I also play in the dark with nothing but my screen for light.   Some of, actually most of my best rounds are played like this.  My wife thinks I'm nuts for playing late nights like this, but at my age I enjoy the solitude, and it helps my focus.  As far a hearing the ding goes,  there's a reason there's a term, " hand to eye" coordination, not hand to ear.  To each his own, I guess, just my way of doing it.

@ cdefghi - same way I do it man .. dark, quiet, and focused. But it is the click of the club hit I like and not so much the ding. Just separate out the applause so it can be muted/quieted.

I tried with no sound and it lost a lot for me. I can't say how many times the club switches when I don't want it too and that sounds is a huge help catching it. Plus the actual sound of club on ball makes it more real for me. Personal preference but that clapping is intrusive and annoying to me.

I do not understand this last posts but damn, It 's like listening to my friend customers on his car dealership that after buying a sedan they bring it back with the roof sawn and stews because they had wanted a convertible.

Why play without sounds if I do not need an audiologist.

    Awesome.

    David.
