just a suggestion but rather than giving us claps for birdies, wouldn't it be more productive to fix the meter bugs. I've upgraded everything I can, it's about time they did. I lose at least one ball (12 in under a week) around because of jumping meter. I know some will say it's my connection, but i'm not buying it. if they can't fix it, how do I get the same results as other players on here. Do I need to work for "WGT", if so hire me, please. It's getting ridiculous!!!

I'd say don't give up hope yet & ask if you clear the Flash-specific cache.  I predominantly play on a Chromebook (which isn't well known for high end processors & the like) while using a router that isn't the best & a cable internet connection that's "only" 10-12 Mbps (compared to many whom I speak to that are 16+ and the high end connections of 50+).

By simply clearing the Flash cache of everything except the WGT stored item, I can play with barely any meter issues.  Sometimes the best I can do is come in right around the ding rather than hitting it consistently.  However, there are no instances of "rocket meter" nor is the meter terribly jumpy.  Just an occasional small hitch, which may leave me with a 40 foot putt at worst (instead of a wretched swing and a lost ball).

I'm not calling in to question whether you've upgraded all you can & tried every fix.  Maybe there are specific issues you face that I haven't.  The advantage of a Chromebook is there is little running in the background, that's for sure.  I'd say try clearing your Flash-specific cache (usually the general cache effects me very little) of everything except media.wgt.com, I believe it is.  Only delete that item after updates, if any issues appear after an update.  I'm sure there are others who may be able to contribute more, especially when it comes to browsers (given that I'm using a Chromebook, it's Chrome or nothing for me!).

    Best of luck pal.

There are no meter bugs.  The problem is on your end, not wgt's. This coming from a reformed "wgt needs to fix their meter" complainer, mind you.

Basically what I was trying to say, minus me being a reformed meter complainer.

Interesting how i get meter jumps on birdie putts but never on par or bogey putts.

Interesting how i get meter jumps when -6 through 6 but never get them when i'm level par or -1 through 6.

Interesting how i get more meter jumps in a 1000cr or 500cr ready go but very rarely in a 100cr ready go.

If anyone here thinks that meter jumps are completely at our end then i think you're very much mistaken.

Few have ever said it's all on the players end, but most meter stutter issues are related to the players computer, because the meter software runs on the players computer.

The key is how busy the players computer CPU is during the down swing. I use Task Manager to monitor my CPU performance as I pause at the top of the back swing. When the CPU usage is low I start the downswing.

Like the reformed meter stutter complainers, I read the forums and made those changes to my computer maintenance and game settings recommended in many posts.

Doing so made the meter much smoother on my computer.

I recently tested my cable modem Internet connection speed (it was 3.11 Mbps) and it is just about what my ISP claims it should be 3 Mbps.

I have no loading issues and in 2 years of essentially daily multi-player games have been disconnected 4 times.

    Dazza,

Very well said, go play a practice round and see just how smooth everything feels.  I can't miss a putt in practice. But as soon as I play a credit round my ball shoots everywhere.
