WGT  has made up some major tourneys worth big credits for us to all compete and enjoy great competition.   I say To Believe or Not to believe.   Round 1 of every major is unlimited play.  Which means you can play as many rounds as you like to try to post your best score possible.

Round 2 is always a single play round format.  Thus means players have only 1 attempt to post there best score possible.

I say this..... Are we to Believe that some of these top players can shoot a 54 in round 1 in there 1st try.  And no need for a 2nd attempt?

Then are we also to believe that during the 2nd round the same player posts another 54,  In just 1 attempt also.

So I say are we to believe this major tournament with some very hard conditions is being mastered in just 2 attempts.   I say Not To Believe.      And I am sure a long greyed out menu tab is written all over it.     Donnie

I am not going to throw accusations around; I have a high tolerance for the improbable. Rounds of 54 happen.

I am only going to say it's quite remarkable for a player to be an Amateur on 11/11/2013 (leaderboard link), finishing 2nd in a Master-tier Ready Go only 10 days later (leaderboard), and a Tour Master on 11/24 (leaderboard - look at page 5).

Amateur to Tour Master in less than two weeks. 151 total ranked rounds played as of today, of which 94 were top 10 finishes.

It is not impossible for all this to be done legitimately by a player with a single account. But I wouldn't like to calculate the odds.

Well I'm certainly not going to agree with what is said or what is being suggested on all counts, but something fishy went on in the golfnow for sure. Not many top players played the easy course with easy conditions overly well after beating it up with the very hard conditions.

I heard a rumour that the winner of golf now was being invited to SF to play live, I know others heard that rumour as well and I'm surprised at the poor showing there with that on the line.

But I'll take the extra credits as a result, thank you for that.

I believe the scores are certainly possible. I also believe whatever anyone else scores in any Tourney has no effect on me at all anyway.

I banged in a 55 in the Glenmorangie yesterday on my 1st attempt and i'm nowhere near some of the top guys in this game.

What you have to remember with the unlimited rounds is score histories do not show how many restarts each player had.

Also the final round (single play) of the last couple of tour events have been easier conditions than the unlimited round.

Same. I restarted twice after not getting an E on 2. Third time I ended up with a 55 with the help of a dunk on 18. The course is easy and the conditions are ripe for low scores. Good rounds happen, and so do bad ones. (shot a 64 in Golfnow single play. lol)

I think your going to see a half dozen 52's by the end. Just depends on who wants to grind it.

Same nearly.  I had 3 restarts before I eagled the second for my 55.  Figured most would do at least that, and the conditions were saying easy eagle...

And mine included giving a silly away going for gold with my new 3 wood.  Turned a gimme bird in to a par.

I marvel at the consistency of the top players, but it's very doable without any funny business.
