    I won't play unless I can interact..

    ( UEL's excluded as need to qualify ) ( New Years Resolution C ) :-)))

    So........

I decided to take a break because it could have only got worse with one of the Mods forever on my back ( IMO ), and me and him butting heads..

    Anyway, the point is..

Is there a time scale for moderation or is it on one persons whim ?

I'd like to try and qualify for this years Open, couldn't last year as the same script happened...and I was only a lowly tour pro in May 2012.

I asked Shoe the same question and the response was " keep being nice and.. "

I don't try to be nice or otherwise..

    Offended many ?  Maybe.

    NOT offended many ?  Maybe.

The ' Care' factor is slightly lacking..................

What I DO think, is that being Moderated is punitive and whoever decided this was the best course of action, thought this sanction could be either..

Rehabilitative o Reformatory but tends to be palliative @ best ??

    Andy

Being polite and civil doesn't cost a thing.   If you havn't got anything nice to say keep quiet.

Hey Andy, good to see you back again.   I'm just using this thread to say a few things, not aimed at you mate so please don't take them personally.

I'm all in favour of free discussions within a forum, so long as it stays reasonably civil and doesn't resort to downright nasty comments.  A witty forum fight is a great thing and should not be squashed underfoot by heavy handed, or footed, moderation.

I have however seen many cases of comments being jumped on because of who wrote them, not what was written and this is wrong in my opinion.  Having a difference of opinion and saying so is one thing, wading in on every post someone makes just because you may have a problem with them is an entirely different matter.

I certainly don't follow the if you haven't got anything nice to say, don't say anything route.  If someone posts something stupid then they're fair game, let the ridiculing begin.

Having personal vendettas is what we need to try to avoid.

So MM you have my vote......now remind me what you are running for?

    Great objective post.

And for the record I am positive I have only ever said nice things on here, and would never dare be rude or sarcastic........can someone tell me why my nose keeps growing?

    Alan said it right.

The written words can be interpreted in many ways, writing in a forum where it is easy to fall into misunderstandings is part of the game, that moderation should not come from ourselves.

I think it's easier to make to blows in a bar instead of being understood in this jungle, be corrected or disinterested on threads depends only on the people who participate however, many write just to frustration and not to share or fun, I mean, it's still just be an online game, everyone can write what thinks without having to feel insulted or accused, and in many cases not "cared" by.

I was disappointed not to find Andy's comments around the forum in this days, fortunately he cames back with all his style: do not worry boy, you will always find care on your pards, and for sure they'll be the same which will write here.

    David.

Great to have you back my friend. Seeing I am pretty much absent lately, go ahead and post whatever you believe I am thinking. Let them moderate me for your (my) thoughts. Or blame it on OPY just because. Stay between the ditches buddy.

    Hi Andy!  Welcome back!

I sure have missed your commentaries these last few weeks and hope you get taken off moderation soon!

We haven't always agreed ... in fact our first run in ended in me posting this picture ... remember?

I'm glad we're now friends and really happy to see your name show up on the forums again!
