Wish I could give balls I have to other players

  I have so many different balls I wish I could give away bit there is no way to do that.

  I agree with that. WGT should have a way for players to give the balls they already have away if they no longer need them. I have gifted many sets to others but I have a bunch I no longer need. Maybe a sell back at 25%.

  Is a ball that has 2% of it's life left worth as much as a ball that has 100% of it's life left?

  Gifting things that are in your inventory is never going to happen and this is a policy I totally agree with.

  Unfortunately there are a considerable number of dishonest players here in WGT, those that defy the rules of this game and have multi-accounts. If gifting owned equipment were allowed this would make their cheating easier and much more profitable.

  As usual, the honest players suffer in an attempt to control the thieves.

  I don't see how. All equipment and accessories have to be bought and paid for initially anyway unless WGT gives balls-like the Callaways away. I have a bunch of balls in my inventory I will never use and wish I could give them to someone just to help their game along.

  Hey Colfax,

  I'm in the same boat as you.  I have lots of unused golf balls in my inventory that I will never use.  But WGT is a business, and money makes businesses tick.  The balls in your inventory was yesterday's gross sales for WGT, and they aren't taking up anything more than a few bytes of disk space on WGT's servers.

   If you gift the balls to another player, they won't need to be buying golf balls anytime soon, so by gifting those unused balls, you are cutting into WGT's profits.  Sorry ... just the way it goes.  I honestly don't think it has anything to do with multi's and cheaters ... but has everything to do with money.

  The way it would work (and still does to an extent) is simple: they (the multis) have an account with a very high average and relatively low tier (but often high level) that they use to clean up with the new / naive / gullible in skins, MP and side bets. They then use these winnings to gift equipment to their 'clean' account. 

  If they could also gift used equipment they'd just have to buy one set of top end equipment and keep gifting it back and forth.

  Kattie, really? Would you want me to go to a Vet? My voice would change. I couldn't sing Blue Moon with the Marcells anymore.
