The Good, The Bad and maybe The Ugly

  Maybe the the wrong section to write this, but it's at the top when we all can see what I'm writing....lol

  The Good

   I would like to thank Wgt for a couple of new things that they have brought into the system.

  The New bracket Comps are fantastic...  Ok there was quite a few bugs when they first started, but I think Wgt might have fixed some of em (jury might be out) . I'm hooked and not one WD due to an Error message since the last outage  Brings in new added excitement to the game...  maybe bring in a Tiered based Bracket Comp, might be better for all..  within reason.

  I must say the best New Club would have to be the Bertha 3wood (L89)...  Not a bad price to purchase compared to other new Clubs...  and the club is very very good.

  Not Forgetting....  Icons Baby...   The Par4 Course.   I think it's the hardest course we have, Thx Icon for picking, apart from one hole, the hardest par4's known to us all....lol

  The Bad

  My scores at the moment they are really bad... bordering on Ugly...lol

  Nikes.... I don't use em anymore, but for a great set of clubs....  the top level Nikes when hitting the ding would have to win the  'What The you know what award'  maybe Wgt should look at their fine tuning, with those clubs.

  The Ugly

  Apart from my Afl Footy Team (Tigers),  they are pathetic...lol.   

  All the people hanging shite on others who make the effort on posting good tips in a Wgt Forum

  At least they try to help others and there is no need to shoot em down in flames. If they are wrong in one little thing... just tell em in a friendly way.

  Wgt might be a business as we all think....  that is your worst mistake. The Brain is a funny thing... (My Brain is gone for all money...lol) One dud shot and you blame Wgt for costing ya money,  But if you treat Wgt as a Game and not a Business.....  then you will be a winner once again.

  If you read this far and not just quickly read it all and say yada yada yda...lol..... then you have missed out on something I've stumbled on...lol

  I think I have found the problem with Slow Loads/Disco's in Multi Player Games.... or should I say one problem with my set-up.

  I have a 10yr old Puter running 'XP'  ...  ok with Single Games, but now Wgt is loading in more Info into our systems then it's starting to be a problem.

  I don't play too many Muti-player games anymore more :(   but when I do, I have noticed.. others in the group will have a faster Puter than me...  They will write on the chat ... great shot...  when my screen is still loading... lol

  If they take a gimme or pick-up or concede....   my screen is still loading for the the next person... This will cause my Puter to crack the sads...  and eventually either disco or very bad slow load.

  I think that might be a problem we might have with all that jazz.... 

  Just a few things.....    This is a great game, if you allow it to be.  Go with the flow and try not to make more holes in the wall like I have have.....lol

  A great objective post Roger.

  I agree with the good, although that Par 4 course could also slot into the ugly  category.

  Brackets are a fantastic idea so well done WGT, especially after the "issues" have been addressed (I think).

  In the bad section I would be  inclined  to add pricing on most new released clubs/balls. I agree the BB 3W is a great club but it also is $5 more than the R11S - I am not sure whether it will really save me many shots and the distance is possibly too far for a few "inbetween shots".

  The Ugly is my golf game, both on here and real life recently! Add that the Swans have had a bad start, the Warratahs no better, it is looking decidely ugly.

  I agree that it is a game run by a business. I understand both levels and I have seen this game grow enormously since I found this game when it was only CTTH. I left thinking, has potential but not for me.............when I rediscovered the game some 3 years later...WOW. And it has continually improved since.

  Yes we may not get as many new courses as we would ideally like and there are bugs (some never get fixed) but all and all, it is a great game.

  The company deserves credit where it is due, and because we pay (either in cash or time earning credits) when things go wrong, a customer should complain (and that is better than them just leaving not knowing why) so they can rectify the issue.

  That is where WGT do fall down however - Communication - is usually Ugly!

  Yes the game can improve, and hopefully it will. Despite all the frustrations (and most poor shots - like 99% of them - are my fault) it has given my a lot of pleasure, and I am sure it will in the future.

  Great post indeed Roger, at the moment I'm definitely the bad: the bad putter.

  And Alan, when we talk about credits, we talk about real money and you surely know what could be the cynicism of some corporate decisions and that's ugly, but despite this, as many do, we appreciate what we have always hoping to have more and make us good guys, or good money guys.

  I suppose we can all Kick Wgt for ever and again..  but overall we need to bring in some sought of level headed thinking....lol

  Buddy has brought some extra press coverage to the Swans, they don't live in in the land of no press coverage..lol

  Things like ...Footy Talk Banter between us all is great... I don't mind the Swans, but a interstate team.... means...   get em!!!.... lol

  Friendly Banter between us all ...  just good stuff and a fun read too....lol

  No Need for Personel attacks in relation to other matters, like how we play the game of golf... or atticking somebody who tries to give good tips..  that is no good

  We all play the Game for our own Enjoyment....   The New Bracket Comps has brought out that enjoyment in myself...   looking forward to tmorrow again... that type of thinking.

  .... and really this is a game....  not real golf, but the best online golf game out, if you treat it like a game, then the game will treat you good too (sometimes...lol) ...  well I think so....lol

  Hi, i just signed on and went to my profile page, and noticed alot of changes., the biggest change i saw was that there is no place to click play now !! can someone please help me figure this out or tell me what WGT did now??

  I also agree,   for the most part  Well Done WGT with the latest upgrades etc,,

  Except for one thing Can the Transparency of the Chat / Message  box be made more solid .

   At present with the Jet and people in the background, it is quite difficult to read messages to / from other players  while setting up  a game.

  Otherwise a BIG thank You to All involved in producing this great game.

  Roger I agree that the game is great but tell me why I have wrong responses to my shots that start around the 4 th hole and stay until the end of  the game. Causing balls to go were ever but not where I hit them. Just had a sand trap shot 30 -40 lie  for 125 yrds to the green. I hit a wedge on the ding and the ball just rolled up and out 5 yrds from the trap. Now tell me who did that. I play golf and if that happened to me I would certainly question my existence in life. Wgt lies that they don't alter the shots of players but it is so obvious they do. Who else could create such a mess in responses to actions. This game is out of control or they can control the game for their profit. Whatever it is, it's beginning to aggrevate a lot of people.
