FEAR IS USED TO CONTROL THE SHEEPLE. Another web security market will now open up lmao. Capitalism always uses fear to push product, create the crisis and then offer the solution, at a price of course.

This is not a contrived crisis to instill fear in and thereby control the people. It is a bug in OpenSSL. The impact remains to be seen, but there was nothing deliberate about it. The only long term change in web security will be better testing of OpenSSL code before it is deemed production-ready.

Did you just find this web site? When they put things on a web page at a site without a Date attached, it could have been there for years, so how current is this. Ii's so hot of and item, why isn't it in other tech news, or even on the TV? Seen these a lot of times in the past ten years or so, so its normal to have another pop up to make a headline for an oscure web site.

The bug was introduced in the 1.01 version of OpenSSL in 2012.

This means that attackers may have been exploiting the bug for two years; revealing emails, instant messages and browsing data.

It's on Sky News dated 11:37am UK, Wednesday 09 April 2014

    https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=open+ssl+bug+2014&oq=open+ssl+bug+2014&aqs=chrome..69i57.5385j0j8&sourceid=chrome&espv=2&es_sm=93&ie=UTF-8

it is also on tech sites.

i only posted the link on here to advise folks to show some caution, not to start a conspiracy.

here's a quote from OpenSSL themselves.

"We have tested some of our own services from attacker’s perspective. We attacked ourselves from outside, without leaving a trace. Without using any privileged information or credentials we were able steal from ourselves the secret keys used for our X.509 certificates, user names and passwords, instant messages, emails and business critical documents and communication."

    that says it all.
